Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Well, I gave Plat mining a try to validate it is working and it is fine.
Found double Plat Hotspot in Pristine Metallic ring 2500LY from sol which I have been using for 2 weeks.

I tried in EDH3.8, logged into EDH4.0 and carried on fine, LOADS of loverly Plat.
Logged off and into EDH3.8 and still OK, back to EDH4.0 and all fine.
Don't have EDO so can't comment on mining there.

HOWEVER, the graphics in EDH4.0 are so terrible, it is unplayable (read unwatchable) to me.
The ship and asteroids are blocky and contrast is far too high, it looks like a poor 1990's video game.
Returned to EDH3.8 and back to a beautiful immersive universe, almost like actually being out there as I am used to.
Think I will be leaving EDH4.0 alone until absolutely necessary for me to move from EDH3.8 for narative/content.

I will also review EDH4.0 after I get my new 1Gb/s Full Fibre installed (on crappy 57Mb/s Sky ADSL ATM).
You're not playing the same game. I'm in Odyssey.

Oh Yes Please :)
As you can guess, I'm trying to unlock Kit Fowler, so I can proceed with the Engineer grind.

I read somewhere that I can buy/Sell using a FC?
Yes, you can - but I don't have a bar on mine. And if you do, can I just sell them to your barman and you get them?

Sorry, I'm not sure how this works. I did meet up with another CMDR a few days ago and he just dropped stuff on a planet surface and I picked them up...

So this just happened.

Now to spend the next hour or two running around getting it engineered.

I don't have a FC yet, but dropping on planet sounds a good idea?

I'm at work (Not browsing forum's!) at the moment, but will give you a shout (In game??) when I get home

Not all doors have panels to cut off. Some just need the energy link to power them up or overload the locking mechanism. If it needs cutting, it's an orange plate, if it oesn't there's just a "socket" looking fing.

True but I didn't see any door or airlock or any kind of entrance at all, being a wrecked satellite. :)

I seem to remember that punching it sometimes dislodged those stuck panels. (Melee Attack – V)

It happened once before and I was able to grab it through the crack, after budging it far enough with a P-15 and some punches.

Oh well I don't usually cheat-reload but, I got three sets of downloads off that data port in the process, which adequately consoled me for the pain in the neck.

So sorry they messed up yet another aspect of game play. I've no inclination to get EDO as not interested in FPS or scanning plants (eeeewwww)
Yet to play Mass Effect Legends for better FPS.

I bought EDO without knowing what I was buying, and had no intention of any FPS stuff as I'm too old.
I only initially landed on planets for material gathering, Dav's hope etc, and that was it.

...Roll on 9 months later, and I'm doing on foot low CZ's, looting settlements, and genrally waiting hours for my notoriety to come down, so I can pay off my bounties!

In short - Give it a try - You maybe pleasantly supprised ;)

This is really the last on-foor build I'm going to do, Honestly it is. Yep. Last one. Really.

The idea here is that I now have two builds for combat zones - one is in the dark, the (new) one for the light side with better ammo reserves.

This one has eaten his carrots:

This one is all about the ammo:
