A rather pretty water world. Didn't get the discovery, should get the scan credit.

The second darkest planet I've ever landed on... this is local noon.

And an ammonia world that is sneaking back towards being that terrifying hellscape they all want to be. It's midafternoon and already things are stirring in the shadows...

Also I really broke my system map 😹

I've combined my quest for gaining a combat rank with sending a troublesome pirate faction in one of my player factions systems to 1% influence. They are natives of the system so cannot be forced to retreat.
I started by running combat missions for influence rewards in the system for the other factions to build their influence at the expense of the pirates.
Change of tactic today - I found a neighbouring system offering pirate massacre type missions targeting the pirates I want to reduce the influence of.
Perfect, as the missions for killing a bunch of them are stacking, generate lots of pirate faction ship targets to shoot reducing their influence, and the 2% combat rank increase every couple of hours isn't terrible.... relatively speaking.
I'm 48% dangerous now 😜

Yes, there's a way to tilt the map, but I forget the keys and/or mouse controls required. I used to do it now and then.

Next time I'm in game I'll have to fuss with it and remember.

Nearing the edge of the BLU THUA stars, on course towards a black hole because I can't remember ever visiting one before.

Came across an exceedingly dark methane moon-of-a-moon who's surface was largely the colour of charcoal. But it did have some plants I'd never found before.

And I can add this to the very short list of bodies with both bio and geo signals on them - where I could genuinely find both! (I have of course forgotten to log which system it was. Oh well.)

Somewhat more visually satisfying was this ringed moon of a ringed planet!

Which had some rather cool flora on it. I did not know that 1-biosign planets would ever be not bacteria, but I am now edumacated!

I wish you had gotten a closeup of those plants on the fumarole, I don't think I've seen those before. Awesome pictures, that last one looks like fonticuli.
