Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Its good to see me back too...

Arm is, well, good and bad I guess. Still healing. Someone gave me a HOTAS, which I absolutely love BTW, back around XMas...so I haven't been resting it like I should...

How are your ELW location skillz? Still racking them up?
Glad to hear it. I usually stumble across one ELW per 1000Ly plot, last plot was about 400 systems, my current is 537 systems. I think I'm around 97 discovered (not a lot, I know), I'm 5000Ly out of Colonia now and about the same from a DSSA carrier in the opposite direction, I'm carrying way too much data right now, getting nervous.

Hey everyone! Long time no read/write...

Glad to see this thread as busy as ever.

I've been out BGSing in an Anarchy system since the middle of February. I'm almost finished retreating the Federal Democracy which had been in control of the system when I arrived back then...Its been an excellent journey.

I've learned a lot about the BGS and how to manipulate it. But I'm glad its coming to an end soon. I'm getting stir crazy being tied to one location...I'm about to be free...again...

Welcome back! \o/

I'm currently attempting to map every star from the 2MASS survey in Barnard's Loop. I'm sure someone has done this before me, but no matter.
The majority are M class systems with, so far, very few bodies. The moon with 8 bios I found at the weekend appears to be an outlier.
This group of stars strectches about 100ly, so I may be sometime.

Built a DBX just for Exobiology; small footprint so I don't have to use the included SRV much, good view from the cockpit, large jump range (nearly 70lys) and cold running for scooping and fsd charging. Working well but it's confusing the authorities.

Ship rarely gets above 14% heat on the surface so this guy followed me around for 30-40 minutes. Previous planet I had a group of 3 watching me for 20 minutes or so. Getting kinda creepy now ...

That's what my wife kept telling me when we were dating... following her around for 30-40 minutes and then bringing a couple of buddies was really starting to get creepy.

Can't believe she married me.

I just looked at your build. It's very similar to my DBX.

I learned the hard way having a repair limpet controller and an AFMU is really good idea when one is far from home. Plus, you'll never really used the advanced docking computer when exploring and the extra 2 tons of cargo aren't really all that necessary either. Food for thought.
