What repository does our codex info go in to? I'm sure I got it wrong.

As far as I understand it, the codex is a collection of reported phenomena (biological, geological, xenological and so on).What repository does our codex info go in to? I'm sure I got it wrong.
And for each time you first confirm such a report, you get a reward. And sometimes (I often see this while scanning salad), you get a minor reward for comp scanning additional specimen.

I believe the codex data is stored server-side.
The basic codex probably is. But I think the individual progress of each commander is part of the journal. Though I don't know if there's a serverside copy of these journal files.
I can't find the actual source I read it from but the fact that the (read: YOUR) codex data is held on the servers is also attested to by @varonica (post #3) here:

Well, each time you "achieve" a codex entry the info is actually written in your journal but the actual overall codex is held on the servers, each commander's id tagged to the relevant data. You can read the blurb about what is written to your journal here:

The codex part is the first section of the "Exploration" chapter (link on the LHS).
If you move to a new machine and don't move all of your journal files, your codex still shows all your relevant data. (Well, it should, there have been some bugs.)
I assume that even doing a clear save then the codex still relates to one's fid I presume - I have never checked that even though I have done many clear saves in the past.
I wonder if indeed the codex data relates to one's fid and not commander name?

Maybe but those are the full prices you have paid for those ships the rebuy is 5% of that wherever you are.
For 185 million rebuy you are looking for the Value field to be 3,700,000,000 credits.

I don't know what happened, it asked me to pay that
I had the feeling that the insurance is part of the sale contract with the fee being included in the ship's price. Same with modules.
