Remember you only have to mine and process the 500 tonnes of anything through your refinery, you don't need to sell it so dumping the stuff straight away can speed things up.
This night I just needed to get as far away from Earth as possible, so I took Nellie Bly and went and gazed at the Horse Head. It's a bit difficult to convince the GPS to go there, but it's worth the struggle.

Shoot the intact sensors (the canister ones). That turns them into fragments as well.
I am mostly stranded in the black with no carrier. It seems the "fold down" of Horizons and base game has unforeseen circumstances. Early days though!

Yep, right outside the window all morning.Freaked out.
There's a bird outside my window, sounds exactly like the SRV scanner thingy. Every time it starts up I reach for the gamepad.
I've been playing Elite far too much.
The galaxy is too big, I've finally decided. I'm still thousands of LYs out from the bubble after a five jump, 2,500 LY marathon. Whine, wibble, gripe, where's the salt?
Back to tritium mining after that lot and first disco's are beginnig to trail off. But there's still money to be had - the downside is that you can't eat it and Madellynn Hendricks is looking at me like I'm a sage-and-onion-stuffed roast chicken, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, broccoli and peas.
Still, Tiffany Aching looks quite resplendent in her new azure paint:
