Decided to try my hand at finding geo sites in EDO. Er... no thanks. I'll go back to EDH for that! Which I did but my binds were all kaput. Another time

Trigger pulled on the FAS. Did some super lazy free riding in H.res for another 5mil.
Got the mats for Audio Masking on my shotgun, and Jump Assist for the Artemis. I'm having a good time with these upgrades. Next on my agenda is finally getting the sniper rifle to Grade 5, and maybe add a scope to it. I'm not sure about the last slot on the shotgun...or the suits. I'm pretty happy as is, so I'm going to think on it a while before doing more to those.

I just do mission after mission until I have enough for one upgrade or another. I keep track with Inara and EDEngineer, so I always have a few things I'm working on. Then I watch for those mats as rewards from missions.
It's a lot of fun. It is not fast. I just play a lot lately
Initial feel on FAS, its agility is on par with the Chieftain, I have just plugged a g3 clean tuned thruster which had been sitting in station storage to it. Been flying around for other modules, liked it.
PP & PD engineered but not to the top yet. Can't wait to plug gunz on it and go test free riding.

I am sitting here with enough mats for all modules from all engineers. Enough mats for wellington and oden.
Just waiting for the mats to turn up for the referrals to unlock. Have to get 2 more financial projections and 10 settlement defense plans.
How long does it take just doing missions and taxi rides? Months of weeks of days of hours of missions of failures and successes.
Doubling available mats from missions would help..
edit: I have not seen a smear campaign to download as yet.
It's really an experiment to see if just doing missions will open all engineers. Without having to do freelance murder across the galaxy.

Looks like I just need to do more missions and learn more stealth and combat!
Good job missions are quite fun - at least so far - otherwise it'd be just a mindless grind.
I'm with you on the mat rewards! I have a vague recollection of a Dev saying it was something they were looking at. I may well be wrong though, my memory can get iffy at times!
Check data ports in HABs, in anarchy factions only. I see them a lot.
I am trying to get to the scope mod. It will be through Oden by the looks of the mats I need.
I was given a mission to recover a settlement defense plan, very recently. Must have collected the others along the way.
Quick question guys:
My PC is coming tomorrow (fingers crossed!) so I will need to re-download ED. If I just download the Odyssey expansion, does everything come with it, or do I need to do the base game first, then EDH and finally EDO?

I probably will use EDH from time to time but I guess that the launcher will just do any downloads necessary - would that be right?
Probably - not sure tho, im using Steam and Epic Launchers for Elite and those are downloading the full package (Horizons and EDO) since EDO is treated as a DLC for the base game, but it's placed in a totally separated folder
Can’t you just copy the folders from your current machine?
