Yes the launcher can download either or both. No worries there. Thanks!
I probably will use EDH from time to time but I guess that the launcher will just do any downloads necessary - would that be right?

Not sure on that... anyone? Can’t you just copy the folders from your current machine?
You can save a bit of download time by copying the products folder(s) over. I decided not to do that, just in case. I wanted a completely clean install. Not sure on that... anyone?
Don't think everything goes in one place so you'd need to know all file locations. I'm guessing though.
Hmmm.... or just let the Launcher continue its stuff, then overwrite whatever is there with your backups. If I WAS going to do that, I'd first start the launcher and let it start downloading (so it creates all the folders). Exit the launcher, copy the Products folder over, restart launcher and let it continue.
That should work, in theory![]()
Does ED:H wipe your on-foot binds because it makes no sense to it? There's lots of talk about CMDR's binds being lost round these parts. Not sure what's going on here.
Yesterday, I entered EDH and had to select "custom" to pick up my assigned binds. Today, back in EDO, I had to redo my on-foot binds and copying back an old (working) file didn't work - even when I chose "custom" again.
This stuff has happened to me before when switching betweed EDO and H so I must be doing something stupid. It doesn't take long but it's annoying.
Not used Horizons much lately but don't recall problems when I last did. However I had before Odyssey renamed the bindings file and changed the name in the second line so the dodgy custom is not used. I have two named files with different version numbers. Not sure what's going on here.

I think custom.4.0.binds for EDO and custom.3.0.binds is EDH.Not used Horizons much lately but don't recall problems when I last did. The above could all be rubbish of course as I have unfortunately been sober a couple of times recently which always messes up my knowledge of past watchamacaulums.
Oh really? Interesting! You may be right!Does ED:H wipe your on-foot binds because it makes no sense to it? There's lots of talk about CMDR's binds being lost round these parts.
Funny thing just happened. I'm driving around a geo site, collecting mats, when all of a sudden I hear 'Mission Objective Detected'. I don't have a mission at the moment, so I don't know what that means. Is Verity trying to make conversation?
X2 for me. I heard that very often when free riding in res sites. The sound just randomly popup i think. but sometime I did saw some signal source marked in blue saying mission signal source, but I don't have any mission running at that particular moment.... the "mission objective detected" thing, I think that's a bug. I've had it happen loads of times.
I think custom.4.0.binds for EDO and custom.3.0.binds is EDH.
I'll look into more once I'm back up after tomorrow's new arrival. It is really wierd though. I'm sure I'm missing something.
I've just finished upgrading my Executioner to grade 5. I want audio masking and scope on it. Haven't tried scope yet, though. I'm hoping it's decentLooking down the sights of a double scoped exec is scary.
Grats on the new rigI need a beer.
