Shooting rocks in the hot sun
I fought the grind, but the grind won.:D

Yep, I want to be there when it goes supernova. Looking through a telescope I have often wondered if it had already done so, since the light from the star is delayed 642.5 years, but now I know that it hasn't happened yet (I've been there ;))

Whenever I look at Orion, I often wonder if Betelgeuse has already gone supernova, and we are just days or hours away from finding out :)

I just died for the first time in a "long" time. I was jumping around Merope, which is another of my favorite real stars, when I saw a nonhuman USS with thread level 9. Finally a chance to see them thargoids up close I thought, and headed there with no weapons or shields. That was stupid. The only thing I saw was a laser from a ship and an explosion all around me. The ship was human though. And no thargoids [sulk]

Gotta learn how to fight back...

I hope that isn't the case can you imagine the ranting and wailing over in Dangerous Discussions over whether FDev. Should amend the galaxy.

I can imagine it very well indeed [haha] The forum would face it's own personal Supernova :D (It might even collapse into a dense remnant of itself in the end ;) )

Participating in both CGs and muttering curses about software that won't run on legacy browsers When said legacy browser is the latest version that will run on my hardware as it is too old for the latest operating system but works perfectly. So no more Coriolis builds for me unless on I am on my main computer.

It is just as well one of the CGs is for shooting stuff.

Stopped over for bit of data action at Jamedon's Cobra, then went back home for some updates to my Viper III with a view to going HREStastic.

Then the servers came down for an update.

:/

9329.54 ly from the nearest station and 4% hull. Regardlss of whether or not i make it back, next time i'm gonna bucky out here, and take the slow way onwards.
Evrything else is in the green, but i'd rather not lose the data i've collected so far.Think i'm going to have to trade the srv for HRP.There's quite a lot of neutron stars, which would increase the risk, but on my way back out they could prove useful. For now it's 207 jumps.Does anyone know if you can deploy the scarab from space?Don't really want to risk anymore surface landing if i can avoid it,and i might scrape out enough for a half light or so over the course of the journey. That .54ly worries me.:D

If you log back in in base game not Horizons does your buggy and hanger disappear?

You have to be in your SRV to deploy it so that probably woudn't do you any good. What happens if you self destruct your SRV? Does the mechanic put you back inside your ship and you no longer have one or will that destroy the ship too? Still have the hangar bay so you'll still have that weight if all you do is lose the buggy.

Yeah,so i discovered.I also wanted to remove the temptation to land anywhere else on the way back, but you're right,i wouldn 't gain much if anything.
I'm on PS4.
