Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

well your quite lucky, in getting to the black I attempted three times today.and was met with 2 thargoid ships (well i think it was a medusa) and the other was Thargoid scouts in an unarmed ship purely for scanning (dbS) lost 2 ships and the 3rd just scraped it back to a base for repairs (22% hull).
You might want to consider checking the galaxy map and then avoiding any Thargoid infested areas. They are quite aggressive these days.

Not disagreeing but expanding.
The new Thargoid incursions as shown on the map are as said more actively aggressive but apparently if you run into any in their old stamping grounds like the Pleiades those still by all I have read are much as they used to be.

A combination of speed and cool running but with an emphasis on speed seems to be the best way of evading them other than not getting too close to an invaded system.

You thinking he was on LV-426? I can see your concern then...
Don't worry, I got this handled.

In Colonia I found that large areas of unexplored systems are only 500LY or so out.
I've been out there 4 times before and it is such a great base for exploring. As you say, you don't have to go far to find 'virgin' territory and there are a lot of POIs within a few thousand light years. A 70ly jump range ship can make Sag A* in under 100 jumps due to all the neutron stars too.

Brain Tree hunt in the dark... NV on :]

Was a bit hot to disembark on the day side - lots of materials on these three large HMC's...
