Interesting experience. I even had my personal pilot...

Been looking around for some upgraded suits, but all I found were some empty G3 ones - and some with mods I don't have on my priority list...

Besides of that, I came across something that deemed me odd. The stations I visited had an unmanned Inter Astra counter.
Unmodded G3’s are a good place to start - you might want to buy one of each type to keep handy - it may take quite a while to find a G3 Artemis with NV…
 
I have discovered that nav beacons are a great place to acquire rare mats in Colonia. Specifically, Orca's, Type-6 and Type-7 ships, you'll never see them with bounties at extraction sites (Orca's never at all). I target their engines because they always run, I haven't been able to make heatsinks until I started frequenting nav beacons, I feel guilty about taking them out, like clubbing baby seals.
 
A station needs to have a shipyard for Inter Astra to function; if it doesn't (like surface outposts), the shop will still be there, but there will be nobody home :)
It's because surface outposts and surface starports share the same concourse model.
Oh, I see. So you still can look at the ships, but if you want one, you'll have to take a shuttle somewhere else...

The Artemis suit would be my main focus, right now. NV would be the toppriority mod, IJA the close second.
I already bought a G1 Maverick, in case I stumble upon a panel I need to cut open...
But I don't think I'll buy a Dominator anytime soon.
 
Just installed yesterday and linked to EDSM today - that’s the EDD 3D map.

The interesting thing is that these spikes of radiating lines seem to be related to the intermittent bug where the carrier’s “bookmark” position on the in-game galaxy map gets stuck on a group of apparent seed data stars (fairly dense clusters of real stellar data with names beginning with ”2MASS…”)

…it’s been happening again for some time to the extent that i just look for the carrier on the map, not use the bookmark - last i checked it was still well off my current location.

Very Nice map! :) i’ve only gotten about 12.5KLY from Sol, just on this recent trip - someday, Colonia and Sag-A still… ;]
Having an Inara account, getting an API from there and linking that it EDDiscovery is also handy.

16 minute countdown to carrier jump. No fix announced but here's to hoping it got done in stealth mode.
Actually all good here - several jumps with 15/5min jump/cooldown times today... wonder what will happen when i get closer to the bubble tho? ;p

I'm about 90% sure they are just waiting for the servers to calm down, and the announcement was just intended to calm the angry masses.

This lengthening of the jump timer happens after every update, and slowly returns to normal in the next few days. It's nothing new.

Once the servers calm down, they will announce that they've improved the times and all is well (which is true, it's always been fine :) )
 
This is my new temp home base, I've got a ringed gas giant nearby with two hazardous sites and I'm about 500 - 800Ls from a nav beacon, great hunting grounds.

This place is like a fortress, there's about 12 to 15 of these cannons plus dozens of armed guards with a dozen armed ships buzzing overhead.

bagged myself a double water world system.can;t wait to reach colonia an flog the data.

I think I mentioned this in an earlier post, though I thought it would be lag related...

I get this uncomfortable feeling that the ADC has a new kink:
When passing through the mailslot, right after the toastrack left the line of sight from cockpit, the ship would "tip over", nose down about 20° and start rocking back and forth as if something under the ship (at the rear) had got caught in the rack. But there is nothing, at least nothing visible. When you stay at the angle and accelerate away (to break the loop), you hear a sound as if you touched the toastrack and also get an according warning from the STC.

To avoid this, I now wait until the nose of my ship is clear of the airlock's force fields and hit the accelerator to abort the autolaunch while the trajectory is still perpendicular to the rack.
