Hi All
It is the loss of a way of life that has been familiar for a long while so is sad in a way.
Change is often uncomfortable.
Will this be for the better in the end, it is too early to tell but it does mean that things are going to be less static.
It also means all those get bored rich quick schemes will go out of date faster.
Another aspect to this is that
before colonisation for example I had a good idea what systems contained in the area of my 'homebase', and marked those systems (mainly inhabited) with bookmarks accordingly for easy access on the gal map, or with written notes etc. about those inhabited systems as regard commodities, or mineable information in some nearby anarchy (uninhabited) systems.
I'm in that area of my homebase this morning and found it
slightly VERY confusing now with new inhabited systems showing on the gal map (player created) and systems being just claimed. So although I've still got those original bookmarks in place the area has obviously radically changed, or changing.
So yes, I agree that it's become a bit 'uncomfortable' now. It's almost...

...a bit like being in a new game, but not in a pleasant way....for want of a better description, also a bit weird!
I've also just docked at a player created outpost, just to get some more information about what commodities the station produces, and what facility's the station has that are 'active'. Ship maintenance is active at this Outpost, as well as the engineers workshop.
Quite surprised that the full menu of commodities is there as per usual, and also missions but I can't use the market iinfo as it's greyed out in the system map menus, but clicking on the points of interest menu it does bring up the player created
planet ports main type, in this case industrial, and other info. Clicking on the points of interest doesn't (as far as I can see) bring up any orbital ports though so this is strange, as the Outpost I'm docked at should show up as an Orbital station?
It might be just me but I'm finding all these changes are impacting the Gal map, which isn't showing the full graphics of the systems planets at the moment

, for example the gas giant rings and planet's true colours etc. Edit... the system graphics eventually appear but it's taking a long time to 'update'.
Just to quickly sum up!

...Yep, colonisation needs some more tdlc, especially on the Gal map menus, and system menus'!
Jack
