Do you think it's a hardware or software problem? I don't recall which ones you have but I'm a newb beyond magnet modding my X-52.Updated the Corsair with the EAX's and some other bits.
Flew off to do battle and...
... found out my joystick just died. It can shoot, dive, yaw but climb? Nope. It won't climb anymore. I'm a little peeved.
Toasty. It seems the "ask for construction in Slot 2, get construction in Slot 0" bug has bitten.
I guess my Space Farm will be growing a lot of aloe vera and prickly pear...View attachment 426135
It's not quite in the fuel scoop zone but it's not very far off it!
Might as well throw in some free-range Gila Monsters and Armadillos. It seems the "ask for construction in Slot 2, get construction in Slot 0" bug has bitten.

And Tree Grubs (I might upset the Lave cartel though...) and Edible Moths.Might as well throw in some free-range Gila Monsters and Armadillos.

Col 285 Sector BR-I b11-0, lots of PowerPlay to be had around there but still most of the way to the edge of the Powers, some nice big systems nearby.Toasty.
Have you mentioned which system you're in?
That's probably closer to the edge than other player systems I've seen on here but I see there's a few named systems around.I may head up to that area while looking for places to surface mine. Away from any bubble riff raff who may take a shot at me.Col 285 Sector BR-I b11-0, lots of PowerPlay to be had around there but still most of the way to the edge of the Powers, some nice big systems nearby.
I'm not particularly happy that Federal Fleet Marine Force are omnipresent round there, doesn't feel very Federal... I'll do something about that when BGS is working properly again.
I've learned to keep some sort of a backup around, I just can't bring myself to use a keyboard and mouse.... found out my joystick just died. It can shoot, dive, yaw but climb? Nope. It won't climb anymore. I'm a little peeved.
I liked halo *and bab 5), but apparently season 2 is it.I finished watching all 5 seasons of Babylon 5 and now I'm watching Halo season 1, they really need to continue this series. I think it's a great show.

yes, it's a real bummer only 2 seasons, it's a great story line and I like the Master Chief, but they leave you hanging at the end of season 2 (I've seen it only once).I liked halo *and bab 5), but apparently season 2 is it.

I understand, it can be frustrating with the lack of OEM spare parts. Perhaps fleamarket's, yard sales, rummage sales and even estate sales might be a place to look for broken joysticks similar to your model. Aren't most of those parts off-the-shelf or are they proprietary?Hi
Yep, that's what I eventually did. I'd had a Thrstmaster T16000m for quite a few years and I'd 'repaired' it twice by taking it apart and cleaning it after the main axis movements started to get 'flaky'. The main fire trigger started playing up eventually, intermittent trigger failure, I took the joystick apart again but the trigger works on a sealed 'pot' that can't be cleaned, at least I couldn't do it.
I messaged Thrustmaster about it but they don't supply those particular spare parts (or any parts actually when the joysticks warranty runs out).
Still for the price at the time it was good value (£38). I bit the bullet and bought the modern DUO version, though apart from external cosmetics the sticks are basically the same as when they were first released.
So...Just under a couple of years ago (I think) I bought the DUO version in a sale that came up, I paid roughly £84 for the two and free postage came with it so it was a saving compared to buying two separate sticks which was just over £120 for the two and postage on top of that. The price has risen again slightly this year.
I've still got one stick still new in the box as a 'spare', I'm using the other one, and it's still accurate in it's functions after hundreds of hours play so far.
I still use a keyboard for mostly the planet scanning stuff and other one key press functions, the mouse I use fires the bio scanner, and I use it for on foot movement as well as bringing up the system and galactic maps plus pointy and click stuff. The joystick is mainly used for the main ship movement, speed and weapons controls. I use all three control peripherals as it's my belief that it evens out any ware and tare generally. For example, when firing the mining weapons I use the right mouse button, the mouse in this respect takes a hammering, but it takes the place of the joystick fire button, so less use of that joy's main fire trigger.
Though you can find it a bit cheaper on Amazon uk. maybe around £10 cheaper when I last looked.

Well, unlike the SRV, you can call your FC in remotely, if I understood that right...I finally got a fleet carrier a few days ago, took it out on it maiden voyage. Did some exploring etc. Decided that I had enough and started back towards the bubble. Got halfway there before I realised I left the FC behind.
I thought leaving my SRV on a planet was bad, but to forget a whole FC. I must be getting old.
I got into the habit a long time ago of always filling up the FC tank from stock (cargo) after jumping so if need be I could remotely jump the FC for a considerable distance.I finally got a fleet carrier a few days ago, took it out on it maiden voyage. As long as you can stand the volume level the Carrier option in your right hand display will let you plot jumps remotely as long as the Tritium in the tank lasts.I finally got a fleet carrier a few days ago, took it out on it maiden voyage. Well it is more remote control rather than calling it to your current location, in the way you can transfer a ship.Well, unlike the SRV, you can call your FC in remotely, if I understood that right...
Hehe, well that's something I've not done (yet). I tend to travel in the FC most of the time, and then explore around the area in a ship. So there's not much chance of leaving the FC behind. All my stuff is in the FC. It'd be like leaving my wallet behind, it's just always with me haha.I thought leaving my SRV on a planet was bad, but to forget a whole FC. I must be getting old.
I’ve been fairly quiet here & elsewhere the past week or two, busy making another video for a JustAbout competition - the idea being to make quite a splash on YouTube this week, with a collection of player-made video’s on the theme “This is my Elite Dangerous” …so here it is, a montage of things i’ve played & recorded the past years :]
