Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Yeah... not my cup if tea, hehe.

Seriously though, what would be the cost of transferring all my main ships once I'd arrived in my DBX? I'm talking pretty well kitted out AspX, T6, Clipper, Krait and Vulture (my other ships could stay at home). Then there's the return.

And eventually I'll get a Conda and have to trek back.

Don't get me wrong; I'm not moaning or trying to apply a salty seasoning - I just don't think, personally, it's something I'd want to do. I'm more or less content with what I have.

Now, if she offered a G5 scoop that increased suck rate by 200%... well, maybe I'd think about taking the trip :D

There are 3 or is it 4 other engineers in Colonia and I think it was stated that given enough activity they would increase the grade of blueprint they can handle. The other annoying thing about them for the colonials is that the invites are unlocked by reaching level 3 or 4 with engineers in the bubble.

You only have to visit them if you want the full set of Engineers.

The cost of transferring ships from the bubble is eye watering. Not to mention the time it takes for the transfer (about 60 hours).Shipping them back is obviously going to double those figures.Better to pin the blueprints.Although there are plenty of inhabited systems, its still more like a village,so in some ways it's easier to get a handle on trade route mechanics, because it's like a mini bubble, and everything is within easy reach. It's great for exploration.

It might be smaller but the density of star systems within a given radius is by far higher - 60 hours is 2.5 days, acceptable in my books. What are the costs of transfer expressed in percentage of a ship's value?

I transferred two ships (small ones) 100ly's and I thought the price was... well sorta reasonable. I can't imagine the cost of transferring ships (larger engineered ones) out to Colonia. I suppose I'd do it if I planned on moving out there on a more permanent basis and then probably only do it one at a time. I don't know for sure but I've read on various posts and looked on various stations and not everything you can get (ships and modules) in the Bubble is available in Colonia so selling off here and rebuying out there might not be an option as well if you wanted to keep your same configurations. Maybe someone can confirm or correct this?

i transfered ships 400+ lys and the costs were in the 6-digits - with 1.5 hours transfer time. Now when I think about that 60 hours is 40 times longer, transfer costs should be in the higher 7-digits or eventually even the lower 8-digits. It's just a guess, but this is somewhat worrisome.

Just thought I'd see what USS's were all about as I hadn't really investigated these before. Ah, threat 5, weapons fire detected - no ta. Degraded emissions, threat zero. That'll do. Five occupied escape pods. They'll do and I'll have done my bit for the search and rescue teams. On the way back, I ran into another hero of mine:

"You are so blind! You so do not understand! You weren't there at the beginning! You don't know how good it was, how important! This is it for you! This jumped-up firework display of a toy advert! People like you make me sick! What's wrong with you? Now, I don't care if you've saved up all your 50p's, take your pocket money and get out!"

Been beta testing. Outfitted a Mamba for exploration and headed straight up. Got caught out when the inevitable changes were made to it. Yes, it doesn't overheat as much if at all (shame really), but the jump range seems to have taken a hit. Now I have to do every jump using synthesis. At least we started the testing with all material buckets full...

What part of a galaxy are you in? Can't you simply re-plot the route to suit the new jump range?

And yes, I'm kind of sad that they "fixed" the heat. It added to the character.
