Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

I've been up to my old tricks surveying "real" clusters and things, and finding lots and lots of materials at all the geologic sites. Arsenic, polonium? Not a bother with a metal-rich world and some geologics to shoot at :D

The world of sulphur:

Early light catching the geysers (I've been trying to find a real sound one called Ebeneezer, but no luck so far)

"So much he profits in divinity
That shortly he was graced with doctor's name,
Excelling all, and sweetly can dispute
In th'heavenly matters of theology
"

Can you guess where this is? :)

Eskimo Nebula?

You know you could just go and get it yourself, right?
Don't blame the game for you being lazy and having money to burn.

But then I wouldn't be able to enjoy the thrilling gameplay that Minecraft provides me while my elite ship travels to where I want to play the game.

I mean I understand and sympathise with those who just love Elite busy work but its not for me.

Finally finished a skyscraper I started 6 months ago.

Currently mooching around Sol, parked on Europa, and intending to visit lots of things in or almost outside the system.

This is is due to getting close enough to 100% midshipman that even I did some missions and so ranked up.

Hunting for selenium again. Skiddy SRV today. Aha! That outcrop looks like a possibility. Bang, bang - I shot it down, bang bang. Wahoo! Selenium! Yay! Cargo scoop deployed...

"Uable to contact server".

Wha..?

Nooooo!

They do seem to have some serious problems since Christmas. At least now we can blame DW2 guys. :D

Been getting so nice source and return thorium missions that seem to attract Anaconda interdictions. Whilst I find that hosiery soil-tastic, I am winning the escape vector game. So far.

Sorry, no really good screenshots the past few days. I'm in a boring section of space, I guess.

I'm just derping around in the void, doing an impromptu nebula tour of the Orion Cygnus arm. I've had a number of earthlikes and waterworlds, but I can't land on those for pics :)

It would be cool to land on these!

I'm going to haul 80 tons of cobalt in a non-engineered T-6 and without neutron jumps to Omega Sector for DW2 because I hate myself.

If that's true, I think you should consider neutron jumps after all. There is a chance of killing yourself, so you could end your suffering without any extensive periods of pain. :D :D

Or, get in your Conda, take all shielding paraphernalia off and any reinforcements, arm it with the biggest state of the art bang-bangs and see if you can shoot the toast rack off a Coriolis.

I'm too new for this and I've, on purpose, ditched all the "get rich fast" guides, so I have no Anaconda yet. With this approach, I hope to avoid reaching the "end game Anaconda" too soon and delay the "EVERYONE IS GETTING ANACONDAS FOR FREE AND THE GAME IS NOW EASY, AND THE DEVS SUCK, AND THE PLAYER SUCK AND EVERONE SUCK" rants wich, I know, I will inevitably end doing when the moment comes.

This is the ED equivalent of wearing a suit of copper armour whilst standing on top of a mountain in a thundestorm, calling into question the parentage of all thunder gods. :)
