I'm getting closer to the core. I think I have about 3000 LY to go. I haven't seen much in the way of interesting systems today, though. Mostly just stars in them, no other bodies.

These two stars were quite amazing looking though. And see how small my Krait looks?

I've also been helping to test the latest EDMC. So if there are any problems with it later, you can probably blame me ;)

Oh, I'm enjoying it. Got reasons to go there and it will give me a sense of accomplishment when I get there. Also using the Highway (not the Neutron one, the "stopping at every remote outpost on the way" one), so I'm taking in all the sights on the way.

One thing it truly has done for me already, 1/3 of the way, is make me truly appreciate the vastness of the Milky Way.

The race is on! I'm about halfway there myself!

Nah, not really; I don't care how long it takes as long as I enjoy the ride. What I'm hoping for is some undiscovered areas - big ones - as the ones I've been to so far are a mix of found and virgin. I thought I'd first disco'd a black hole yesterday but no, someone had been there before me :(

That's cool. I did pretty much the same thing a while ago, in a Krait MKII. It was a great trip, I found cool stuff, and had a lot of interesting times. I even found my first (and only so far) untagged Earthlike world.

This year, after I got my carrier, I returned to that ELW and spent a while in the area, tagging and mapping a little bubble of my own around that spot. Great fun!

I tried Elite in VR for the first time this week. Really gives you a proper sense of scale. If you get a chance, definitely give it a try.

CG was a ghost town, so I got back on Xbox for some PvP action. Brought the iEagle out to goof around in some big wing fights, and actually had a pretty good time. Been tryharding in the FDL for too long, and it felt good to be back in the old eagle.

Anyone on Xbox with an interest in PvP, now is a great time to get into it. It's been very active lately, and new folks are always encouraged to try. A good portion of the Xbox PvP community can be found on discord, if you follow the link in my sig. Come hang out!

:giggle: I like the 'nearly'.I also like the idea of carrier wings.I mean, if you're gonna go bigly you might as well go large. :giggle:

I have no screenshots today. I was distracted by chores.

But I did discover a rather lucrative system. It had 8! terraformables, one of which was a water world, plus another non-terraformable waterworld as a bonus.

And...that's it. That's all I did today. But it took a long time to scan everything, most of which was 300,000ls from the main star :)

That sounds like a great find Codger.(At first i read it as 81, but then i looked again.:)).The game is very generous in providing cool systems when you least expect it.
I spent most of the evening doing a bit of unarmed combat out at the local installation.My close quarter flying skills are improving and managed to see off two successive waves of attack and survive before RTB for the night.Got mauled pretty bad but a hold full of hull repair limpets took care of that.Minor increases in rep and inf 🤷‍♂️ , no creds, and i already maxed my arx , so no gain, but great fun.:giggle:

That's frustrating.

Almost as much fun as wondering why your limpet won't return and realising it's because it can't get to that last chunk of painite because it's trapped inside the 'sploded 'roid,

Phantom was giving me gyp today, slippery little beggar.Chased him off in the end, but not before i'd wake scanned him. Actually enjoying mixing it up a little.
Also found a rather unusual looking artefact.

Edit: Its apparently part of the installation defense system.I probed it with my mining laser and the installation umleashed merry hell on my head.
I'm starting to feel like Grim Pioneer is a home away from home.:)
