Decided to go scout hunting. Found something I hadn't bargained on. We were both copasetic untll I approached a burning Cutter, then the insect scum went for me. Shields stripped in seconds, couldn't wake quickly due to mass lock (both in my ship and underpants) and very nearly died.

Bought some stuff for the carrier, paint, ship kit etc.
Very nice.
Nothing happening with the 'Ghost ship' thingy, I'm leaving the Bletchley Park mob to sort that out.
Went and followed the INRA bases mystery/storyline, very good.
While doing that, found some clues that led me to a thingy ship...
Generation ship, yep that's it.
Also found a Penal Colony under attack by Thargoids. Did not end well, only just escaped, while carrying several million in explo data.

I wish they'd hurry up and decode that thing. :LOL:
 
Nailed another Cyclops dirtside. Note to self: turn shields off when on surface!

Goid flattens shield.
Charging shield steals all power.
Goid fires shutdown field...
No power for neutraliser!
Thrusters shut down...
Bouncing Conda!

She got me with that twice, still won, hull down to 50.

These two systems are right next door to each other (0.09ly) and also just under 3.000,000 ls so i can fly from one to the other using supercruise, rather than hyperjumping. I didn't think that was possible.I'm using SC to travel,just to see what happens.
It's already known what will happen. You'll get there and find nothing, just empty space. The hyperjump is required by the game to spawn in the bodies and such. If you don't jump, they never spawn.

I hope you didn't spend toooo much time :)
 
Sold all the stuff I'd collected. Made a tidy profit although it could've been better due to my lack of business acumen. Bought a pile of tritium - around 3K in storage, tritium depot at 1K. I'm now off to the glactic edge somewhere - almost in the complete opposite direction to Colonia.

I was going to hunt 'Goids but I changed my mind - it seems their attacks have slowed down and my last encounter Didn't End Well.

It can definitely be done faster if you are willing to work on both the basilisks at the same time. However, having not defeated this particular instance before, I decided to play the safer card of a longer battle in return for not having multiple interceptors with lightning attack available to them at the same time. Still, it was faster than my first Hydra kill ...

Really need to have a module storage sort out. Full of engineered gubbins which, if I'm honest, I'm probably never gonna use again.
Time to buy some more cheap storage ships!

Rebuilt the AX Conda, now running it tanked and Shieldless, works very well!
Now building an AX Corvette and Cutter, same premise, Shieldless hull tanks. Engineering all those hull reinforcements is daunting, but at least there's no shield boosters sucking up all my engineering mats!

Considering I'm now changing a lot of my builds because of the Fleet Carrier (No fuel scoop, no fsd booster, armoured fsd), it poses a problem of actually getting around all the Engineers for the experimentals.
Solution: Build a transport to ferry the modules around. So that's another conda on the shopping list. :LOL: (y)

Edit: Also need to dump my mining ships back at Ray Gateway, at the moment I'm refusing to entertain mining at all.🤬
