I watched the Station tour video earlier. Got to say, I hope they make it a bit less sterile. I didn't get much of an atmospheric feeling from it. I think it would be good if it felt a bit grubbier and you got a sense that the air had been recycled several times.

Doh! I forgot about the jump limit.It actually takes 20 minutes per trip, cuz there's an additional 5 minute cooldown after you arrive before you can plot again.
It's a relaxing way to travel, but not a fast way.
It took my Cobra a good week to reach Colonia so one day in a carrier will suit me fine.
Hopefully there'll be some variety depending on the system (industrial, tech etc.). Maybe damaged stations will look quite a bit different too. I'd hope so anyway.
With no CG this week, I am mainly trying to Engineer my main runabout ship! I am also considering doing the Guardian missions as I would very much like to get the Guardian Jump drive booster (I've always made optimum builds on Coriolis and need to try and make my ships at least start to reflect their Coriolis design ).

Dropped out of SC in the big yellow , hit boost and some unshielded NPC adder got in the way. 5000 Cr. bounty. Never really noticed that some NPC ships have no shields until today.
I ditched the larger Sons of Themis(?) squadron for a new one called United Mercenary Association. I've seen the leader on Youtube so I know he's alright. It seems to be a general purpose squadron.
Though I've never really had any dealings with squadrons besides a quick exchange in the chat.

I was actually gonna say sunrise at first because I suppose all of them are from the perspective of a ship.How do you tell its not a sunrise?
It doesn't concern me in the least. I bought ED to fly my spaceship in space and land on planets, and that's exactly what the game i bought allows me to do.
But i have simple needs
Maybe by the time the galaxy is fully explored there will be time to pace it out, oversized tuning fork slung in perpetual readiness, but i have my hands full atm as it is.
I am expecting next few days to be anything but tedious here on the forums (Happy keybindings backup day) , the following weeks less so but still interesting, and finally tailing off to repeated requests for and complaints about the availability (or lack thereof) of boot-laces and brown trouserdness

I just realised I'll save myself a pretty penny by transferring my ships via the carrier. It only cost me a few grand.
I was also tempted to take a really sweet 7Mcr wetwork job earlier but my conscience stepped in.
Plus it'd be nice if direct messages were saved regardless of whether someone is online. It seems like a strange system to only have messaging available when both people are online.

I guess you’re right. I just read another post on here that also reminded me, I’ve never really wanted legs. I suppose in my normal way, I feel left out. FDev have already warned the 'racers' that Odyssey will change planetary surfaces (whether you buy Odyssey or not) and the race tracks are likely to change.
I could imagine the Crystalline Shard sites getting broken in some way, and fixed...

For me their main value is the trade down value. Instead of hunting for 28 materials, i'm hunting for only 7-8, rest i get from the trader

The shards will need to be shot from the top, so you have to boost your SRV and fire downwards while inverted. What fun!This may be a very good point!
