It needs to know whether you have missions active and which system you're in. Otherwise you might find yourself in a LITERAL void.
I mis-read that and thought you had spent too much time in SubNautica (littoral).

I didn't buy Odessey, waiting for feedback from Cmdrs here.Could you tell me your experience, I have the same graphics card - might not be enough for Odyssey though.
After all that wait I've decided to skip right past Odyssey and go into Horizons instead. I just need a straighforward way to make money and find materials without dealing with ganky GFX and a weird UI. Although Exigeous finally got some team play working though so I'm kinda playing both.I'm having way too much fun tormenting everyone who has Odyssey. If anyone thinks I'm salty today, I'm actually not. I kinda find the whole thing funny. Now had I actually paid money for Odyssey, or worse, if Odyssey graphic "updates" were rolled back into Horizons, then I'd be pretty upset. But I still have $40 in my wallet and all my frame rates in Horizons, so I'm just enjoying the high surf today![]()

The jackets etc. aren't in Holo-Me anymore but in loadout customization, AFAIK.I have installed Odyssey but not updated Horizons yet.
I use a laptop with a GTX950M 2Gb graphics card which is short of the minimum graphics memory, it took an age to do all the prep work before the game actually started which was worrying.
The game ran smoothly and frame rates weren’t as low as the Alpha with the graphics settings still where I restored them to after the testing so the optimisation has worked.
The start with the cut scene was nice if unexpected, after checking all 4 control binding sections being put straight into an FPS training mission when I clicked Continue was also unexpected and somewhat less nice however most of it went smoothly right up to the shoot your way out of town section which I achieved after about 4 goes though my left out never showed up.
All my Holo-me were present and I was the version last used but I cannot see jackets or other purchased items except for my specs. I will have to check the reams of notes again.
I will check there when I wake up.The jackets etc. aren't in Holo-Me anymore but in loadout customization, AFAIK.
One small thing worthy of attention (to some) about this also - after the introductory mission, the game spits you out into Open. The instant tutorial on first load caught me out but seemed pretty smooth. I aborted it though as I wanted to play the game proper. I'll get back to it.
Options -> "Reduce camera shake"1. NOT ENJOYING IT. It makes me suffer nausea like the SRV
Yeah, not a fan, either, but after this you don't have to pick up a gun again, so...2. The last bit with the shoot out. Ugggh. No please. Not space FPS.
You have to circle the perimeter of the thing you're cutting. Like with the real plasma cutter.4. How do you tell how long more to go before your Arc Cutter pops the panel? I was just swinging it round and round till it pops. Do you have to cut it evenly or can you just do 1 rectangle and then keep it pointed at 1 spot?
Yep, hate it too. Another step to a total console-fication of the game and generally, the fact I can't use mouse on access panels is just... ehm. I hope it gets changed at some point.5. The new mission board is gonna take getting used to.
Every game with talking NPCs ever, I'd say.6. Why do I have feelings of deja-vu cough*SKYRIM*cough when I hear some of the NPCs talk.
Don't drink before lunch.7. Music at the bar sucks. Can we change it?
Odyssey mission in a Horizons client?Got a mission to a non-landable planet as it seems - settlement down there, but no blue ring around it - trying to approach it, drops me out 300+ km from the settlement, made several attempts to drop out nearer, no luck with that - then a message came in for an alternate location fortunately enough - what crap is that to first send someone to a planet with a settlement on it, where there is no normal approach possible? And if it would have had a normal approach, I would have completed the mission long before that message came in.
I've been playing for over a year and I see this bug twice in one day. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...yssey-has-launched.575273/page-7#post-9178309Got a mission to a non-landable planet as it seems - settlement down there, but no blue ring around it - trying to approach it, drops me out 300+ km from the settlement, made several attempts to drop out nearer, no luck with that - then a message came in for an alternate location fortunately enough - what crap is that to first send someone to a planet with a settlement on it, where there is no normal approach possible? I don't have Odyssey, so this shouldn't effect me. I would have tried to dock there, just to see if there is a docking maneuver at all there - but it would have taken me like 30 minutes to snail down to the settlement in normal space. It behaved like a non-landable planet "too close, dropping from SC" kind of thing on approach.Odyssey mission in a Horizons client?
Did you update Horizons yesterday?I don't have Odyssey, so this shouldn't effect me.
of course, it was mandatory and steam has done it automatically.Did you update Horizons yesterday?
