Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

It's fit out as an explorer. I know, I know, not it's role, but I like luxury, so my explorer HAS to be a cruise liner. LOL. Plus, I can fit 2 scarabs.
Au contraire. Orca makes and excellent explorer. You can get her over 50LY no problem and the view from the bridge is second to only the Imperial Clipper. (IMO)

The only thing that kind of bothers me about Orca is that goddamn "fasten your seatbelts" ding every time I hit boost.

touring bus, to get the materials and has a nice sting from the front:)

another update on frontier.
Greetings Commanders,

Today at 16:00 UTC / 17:00 BST, we released a minor update to resolve an issue where the loadout section of the role panel UI would persist above other sections.

There is no server downtime associated with this update.

Its working now. Managed to find one G3 pistol too.

Just taking courier/delivery missions from one ground settlement to another and sprinting to the shops.

The G3 suits and primary weapons are elusive...
When I was just starting, I was finding so many G3s everywhere, but I didn't have money. Now I've got some money but didn't see a G3 equip for last three says.
The hard way it is, then. stabs wrench into another wreck

Hi! o7

The DLC caught me in the middle of my exploring adventure. My plans to get to the center of the galaxy almost changed because of the suits (to explore more than anything). But I just located a station on the road.

Yesterday I was at the center of the galaxy, finally. Now I'm still hanging around there. I hope to get to Colonia sometime. Then Hutton Orbital to finally return to the bubble.

My deepest wishes are for Odyssey: That they repair the route with neutron stars and the way in which biological and archaeological sites are located.

My ship: ASP Explorer.

I can now confirm that suit Night Vision is just like the ship stuffs. I acquired an Artemis suit with night vision pre-installed :)

How many suits do you have now?
I have two g3 arty and one g3 domy.
Still looking for a g3 mavy suit.
If only the slot tech was inter changeable, so as to consolidate two just three suits.
Back into a covid lock down state here in Australia. More game time for me... 🔒🇦🇺👀🤪

I've really been having fun today. My search for bargains turned up a Grade 3 Executioner with accuracy mod, and a Grade 3 Dominator suit with faster shield regen mod. I was pretty happy about that.

I'm getting the hang of some types of missions, a bit. I found a spot that's generating lots of missions to the same few bases, so that I can learn the layouts and guard patterns, etc. Once you know what to expect, things get a lot easier.

In between, I've been investigating Crash Sites and Impact Sites and whatnot, on whatever planet I happen to be on. These can be pretty interesting. I found a crashed Eagle with a dead pilot nearby. I cut open the Eagle and stripped out some goodies, and grabbed up all the items from containers that I could. I scanned the pilot, but all it said was "No bounty detected." I guess she died clean.

I also found a crashed satellite that was guarded by 4 humans and a skimmer (Stinger). I haven't seen humans working alongside skimmers before, so that was cool. I used the SRV to take them out, and it reminded me of the old days. It used to be just skimmers guarding planetary crash sites, but now we've got people there too. It seems a bit more alive.

Flying about to all these locations, getting out of the ship, walking around, collecting items, scanning, opening doors, cutting off locks, being surprised by unexpected attackers... It's been pretty immersive. I like.

The game has been reasonably stable for me today. I had only one disconnect. Two of my missions threw an error when I turned them in, also, but I still got the reward. FPS has been a little better and I was able to go to 1.5 supersampling. It's running over 40 FPS pretty much everywhere, and much more than that most places. I'm not running full Ultra, though. I have a few things turned down that I don't like anyway, like depth of field and bloom.

I was at a mining facility, and heard a loud noise that turned out to be some kind of laser mining equipment. I did not touch the laser, although some perverse part of my brain wanted to jump into it and see what happened :p

I'd have to go count them, quite a few. I have G3 of all the suits, and some have mods (see my above post). I have a couple G2 suits that had mods I wanted to try, just to know what they did (like night vision and more jump assist). I have G3 of all the Manticore stuff, and most of the other weapons also. My Executioner has an accuracy mod. I have one that auto-reloads when you holster it or switch to another weapon.

I've been pretty lucky, mostly at surface ports in out of the way places.
