Which is another thing Fdev could do to boost the player numbers.. reduce the price in a sale.

To be fair they have made HUGE additions to the game only within the last few months (of course not released in the greatest of states). Of course as a player, a week can feel like a long time lol I guess we are all guilty of thinking they can be an omnipresent octopus capable of pleasing us all and building up every part of the game at once. I assume that each time they commit to working on a certain area of the game, other areas "suffer", so it's a balancing act and we need to be patient.
It wasn't that long ago you couldn't land a ship on a planet, now you can visit settlements and so on. So to be fair, they have done a lot! I for one am guilty as everyone else for getting annoyed / disappointed / asking myself what were they thinking. But when you stand back and think about it, there is a lot going on. I do continue to believe they hold back too much, and are a little too conservative / careful, but what do I know really!
Even with peoples response to consoles...... I see people angry and asking about it all the time. It's kind of prompted me to reflect on it a bit. Odyssey released in a bad state, they are working to make it better so it won't be a disaster and will work for PC and be able to port to consoles with success instead of having too horrible launches. It seems logical and obvious, but for some reason people are ignoring this and yelling 'what about consoles!!', as if none of what they already said makes sense.
So while I see these constant threads pondering how to improve Odyssy, I just want to interject and say the above because its all getting a bit tiring.....

Not nearly enough for what we get out of it.
Some people just have this idea of the Perfect Game in their head and cannot ever accept reality. We live in a golden age for space games with so many excellent choices, but some will always stay the "what if ED had ELWs that looked like FS2020 with flora and fauna like NMS and deep multiplayer like EvE and racetracks and you could go swimming and tame dinosaurs and then sell them and become a big dinosaur trader and I'd get invited to the royal palace and everyone will say what an awesome person I am and strong and sexy too and nobody will bully me anymore especially Jimmy who has been very very mean to me and I told the teacher and she said i should talk to jimmy but then he just threw the ball in my face and i didnt even play with the ball it was 40 years ago but its not fair and that is what I want FD to do." type.
I'm up to three personal copies now, and another three for other people.
I like my friends to much to do that to them.
Shame, because raiding a settlement in a group is a load of fun. Things never go to plan, bullets start flying and there's always one guy who catches all the grenades.

The issue for a lot of people is while the almost casual core of ED is lovely, the minute you step out of that zone its readily apparent ED is paper thin. Bethesda's offering next November could either be terrible (see Fallout 76) or amazing (see Skyrim) either way I'm looking forward to it.
I'm sure that will be my next buy.
Especially as you know they'll bring it to console too!

I'd be happy with Frontier's expectations for the game as expressed at KickStarter. That's what I gave the cash for.
