Been trying a new strategy this week. Play about 1-2 hours at most each night, work on a large zoo half that time and a smaller zoo the other half. Trying to mix it all up. I've ended up starting a new franchise zoo (because the 20+ I already have aren't enough
) that's going to be strictly Classic and Planet Zoo themed items. I'm taking inspiration from the really nice habitat idea
@Nisrii posted a few days back and going to make the shelters look like houses, but brick in this case.
Working on my Rocky Falls Park that's North American focused and realizing that using the null barriers is excellent for mapping out future habitats. All you end up spending is the money for the gate, and your habitat area is marked already. I don't know why I never thought of that before. That way I can plan big and spend little. The habitats are somewhat sparse still but it works. We have the cougar/prairie dog habitats (not combined!), the arctic fox and reindeer habitats (also not combined!) and the moose habitat. I'm going to have to reshape the barriers in my big walkaround section, to make them not so lopsided, but I have the idea for a total of 7 animals in that whole walkaround section, that'll probably be it for this zoo but one never knows. Not every zoo has to be a big sprawling creation, which is something I really enjoy about this game. Think big, think small, think themes, it's all ways to play, even in franchise.
