Yesterday I watched a tutorial on youtube how to build a dome. So I built a dome today

Really love them too (mostly due to the Fact that they are our only domesticated Petting Zoo Animal so far). Keep them in almost all of my Zoos and even have a Farm just for breeding the different Color Variations. The Main Herd there got way smaller though last Time because I want to try to only breed Llamas with Gold Genetics there.
I wish we would get a few more Color Variations for them.
By the Way, what's about the white Llama that got re-added to the Game? Did we only get the normal/leucistic Llama back or both of them? Didn't see any on the Market so far

Thats a really cool idea! I want to do that with the fallow deer.
I have two of them from the market (three, but I removed one)
...and please look at the funny Llama with the brown butt

Platypus and otter researched, so now all the new animals have been researched and I can allow myself to use them in sandbox.

So now the wetlands area of the zoo is finished and I'll wait for the next DLC to come back to this franchise zoo.

That looks amazing! Domes are so tricky. I once tried to reverse engineer one to see how it's created and I very quickly realized that is far beyond my skill. So anyone that can pull one off, much respect!

Since I can't get into Jamestown Zoo right now. cry I'm playing about in other zoos. Here's some shots of the Capybara from the Fuzzy and Furry Zoo, and some for the new otter from Olde Towne Zoo. The new otters are still just so unbelievably cute to me, they may be the most realistically designed animal in the game, IMO.

I got a lot of work done on my "American SouthWest" theme yesterday and today. I think I'm going to do an entire theme set. I mean, why not? Right? I've found building is rather soothing.

Got distracted the last days and didn't really have time for PZ. Played a little bit the day before yesterday and was seriously suprised how much space a Lynx needs in game. My habitat was way too small and didn't look good. So today I'll start my second attemp.

Anyone else thinking the requirements for lynxes are a bit off?

Lynxes need a bunch of space irl aswell. You often dont notice because they tend to be rather long with unviewable parts in most zoos.

It can be easy if you use the right number of parts. This one has all parts turned in a 15 degree angle and once you have one wall on both sides it's pretty fast and easy. The tutorial is in German but still you might get it?. She goes slowly and explains it well. Here is the link (I hope we are allowed to post links here?)

Unlocked the golden capybara statue. Now I just need to have a relaxing bath with capybaras on a hot springs to get rid of the stress caused by playing a timed scenario...

Have been playing around with ideas for the last few days and have finalised the plans for my new zoo which I am aiming to finish by the next DLC release. Starting small and not being too ambitious.

Didn't know that. I always felt their habitats seem to small IRL, but super large in PZ... I'm gonna check the EAZA guide when I got time, I think.

I’ve seen quite varied lynx enclosures from relatively small aviary style (Tallinn) to quite huge fenced off areas of woodland where you are lucky to see anything (Dortmund, Ljubljana) as well as something in between (Helsinki, Skansen).

Thanks, I will take a look at this and hope I can replicate. I'd love to be able to build domes. I know it won't be easy, I just need it to be within my ability.

Went and started a new zoo today because my old one crashes as soon as I click on the Audio Visuals button in the zoo menu...

It's not much yet but I rather like how the forest path turned out ^^

Currently fighting the game that tries to tell me that this enclosure (plus a backstage area that the animals have access to) is too small for my Prarie Dog family of 8 members.

Sneak Peek of my contribution for the habitat competition. I quite like this at the moment, it is so relaxing to just decorate this without much thinking. And I haven't built for South American animals in quite a while, so I enjoy the foliage a lot. I just put in a ton of capybaras and they already have babies and help me to relax as well However I need to quit now, because I have to return to the isanely good book I'm reading. Luxury problems - the long weekend went by so fast!
