What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Today I tried to add a second station to my riverboat ride. This is the most unintuitive process I've come across so far. Written explanations I googled went from "build a new station" to "it won't work, you can't do that" to "you can't build a second station, it has to be in the same group" (which made sense to me) but how? Someone suggested you place the rails and then switch to stations in the rail edit menu. Well, there was only where to put the entrance and exit. No button saying "add a new station". I was lost. Finally someone suggested a person who made youtube tutorials on this one. I learned that I had to click that button where to place the entrance, and this button would magically spawn a new station. My jaw dropped. But then the station was just green and not built, and it didn't appear in front of the rails where I thought it would be, but it replaced the last rail. When I clicked it, it got built and at the same time double length. It became longer and longer the more I clicked. I went back to the rail tab but still my station became bigger. So I went back to the video. I learned that when I went back to the rail tab, I had to click the rail in the window. And then, the second part of the station turned into a rail. Looking back and understanding the boat ride mechanic a bit, it makes sense. But if you don't understand that mechanic, you are SO lost. Thank you community for your great videos!

Currently fighting the game that tries to tell me that this enclosure (plus a backstage area that the animals have access to) is too small for my Prarie Dog family of 8 members.
The is such a nicely coloured area - the ground texture looks awesome - I always go stupidly massive with enclosures and seeing yours has inspired me to go super-mini - look forward to seeing more photos, regards G

In my Opinion this looks like it should definitely be big enough. Maybe Frontier should adjust the Space Requirements for small Animals. I'm not sure if it'll help because I've only used a Burrow once in a implied Kiwi Enclosure but did you already try if it helps to place more Burrows if there's enough Space?
Also want to say that this Enclosure looks really nice. I like the Barrier

You can get some really nice Looks by lowering the Terrain Intensity to mix different Terrain Types. You can for Example nicely mix Sand with the lighter one of both Dirt Types (at least in the Temperate Biome) if you want a sandy Enclosure for a Animal that doesn't want that much Sand. Also some short Grass with low Intensity can give the Ground of Lakes and Ponds a nice Algae Look.
Also built extremely huge Enclosures in the Beginning. Had a Zoo once with a Herd of approximately 10-15 Hippos 😆
After deleting that Zoo I've started the Construction of a Hippo Preserve in Africa which will also have a lot of Space when I should continue it someday. Stopped due to financial Problems. Wanted a Lake that is badly infested with Water Hyazinths but it got really expensive. Also have another african Nature Preserve which is extremely huge, but I'll close and rebuild it someday due to some Bug that replaced almost all Guests with Protesters just because they don't like the happy Lions that are living in the Canyon

Unfortunately I had to call me in sick today because of a cold and coughing (I really really hope it's not Covid) but this gave me some unexpected time to play PZ. So in the morning I started building a habitat for red pandas and red-crowned cranes and I really like the look so far. I could also watch the cranes for the first time myself and I have to say they are extremely well made and animated, especially the sounds. I also exlpored the new camera mode for the first time, it's so much more easier and better than the trick with the tegidcam.

Yes - it is amazing and when people do it really well - I just go - oh my - and I thought it was one of those glorious moments - and today I've been fiddling with foliage in my ever changing Zoo -

Thank you, unfortunately I do not think burrows space is added to the space requirment. My curse is that I like to play in challenge mode but also like to build semi-realisticaly, haha. Alot of animals in game do have the space requirments over the top in my opinion (more so because of the huge hitboxes that also take something from the space), but it is especialy noticable with the small animals like these.

I wish I would be that good with elevated Paths.
The Real Life Pictures are really awesome. That Moss with all the little Ferns in it is really nice 👍 and the Pictures after it are even more awesome. Sadly such a awesome Garden isn't really possible here due to the Climate. It's possible however to keep Banana Plants outside for the whole Year with some Tricks. Didn't try it myself though

The Hitboxes are really problematic for most Animals (some Animals that can use the Leaf Curtain aren't even able to walk through it since the Hitboxes got changed). At least the King Penguins do have proper Hitboxes unless they've changed them

Elevated paths are super amazing and fun to build - I just put them over the underwater viewing galleries and build brick structure fun under them for support and to frame the underwater viewing experience - it's quite stimulating - i usually use the bricks, plaster and colour it and other wall bits and then garnish with brick accessories. and plants - of course . . .
Bananas are the best plants - I grow a mini variety that is smaller than me in height and the hands of fruit are a metre long and largish and a cross between Cavendish, sugar bananas and cream - they are so delicious and taste better quite green - people cannot get their head around eating a greenish banana and then they taste it and are hooked. I've never tasted a nicer banana - although we get hundreds of bananas all at once; there is only so much banana cake, banana ice cream, roasted banana, banana chips, banana and peanut sandwiches and banana banana banana one can eat - this year I'll set up a stall and sell some - we get tourists galore here all year and there are multiple guest houses just doors away - so they should sell. 😛 :)

I think it's also possible for the Plants to carry Fruit here but at least the ones from the Guy I've read a Article about once that grows them outside, they didn't taste very good. Probably has something to do with the Climate

🤤 Sounds really nice. 🤔 I think I never ate a roasted Banana. Might try that someday

I wish you lots of Luck with that👍

If you have over ripe bananas - put the whole, skin and all, banana into a roast tray - with a roast vege and preferable no to little oil - and cook them until they look quite black and then take em out and puncture them - let them cool and OMGosh, they are truly delicious. they become gooey and are great with ice cream - it's like banana toffee. :)

Be warned, Urufu, your taste buds might not agree. I tried this a few years ago and it was disgusting :ROFLMAO:
