What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

I'M putting my finishing touches on Elm Park Zoo at the moment. Really pleased how it turned out and my longest and biggest project so far (I've been working on this Zoo since July last year). Maybe I will do at tour through it when it's fully finished.
Yesterday I mad a little pavillon with pieces from the conservation pack at the animal talk by the elephant enclosure with lights and info boards:

I was a bit out of the game.
I needed a bit of a break to sort myself out. I still have problems getting past the entrance and the first 2-3 enclosures, often I just lose interest or I get a new idea and then I lose focus.
In the meantime I also thought "Hey, if you only manage to build entrances, then build them and put them online. There are probably some who probably have a problem with that and it's always easy for you" - maybe I'll do that also.
Whatever, I've gotten carried away to smaller projects now. With fewer animals that fit into a specific theme. So I made lists and am working through them now.
My first zoo (and where I was really keen on it) is the "Bamboo Forest"

While i personally am to stuborn to stop working on zoos (the first got to big for my computer, the second got deleted by acident and the third one is going strong) i do feel with you about that.
The thing that helps me personally are either a challange like the choose my animal stuff or simply working less habitat for habitat but trying to create panorama shots where each new thing i build makes the zoo look better in general.
Looking at the zoo as one big build in itself really helps not loosing motivation, as each thing i do brings me forward so i can just zick zack around and simply do what i feel like.
A habitat? Sure why not
Some foliage in between? Theirs allways a place that needs some
Detailing? Im sure this random spot would LOVE a little more extra
Another habitat with a different feel? Lets go, can keep working on the old one when i feel inspired for it again.
This quite scatterbrained approach helps me from burning out as often i just do something, somewhere that i really love doing in the moment, even if its just placing some plants next to a staff path.

So Yes! after almost 3 months (from wetlands pack) I wasn't was in the zoo! And I so missed this project is definitely one of my favorite projects I do so far.
What since I do not know what to say about the future could be that now I can not enter the zoo at all or maybe now it will work great I have no idea I did not check it I hope I can now play with this project much more. Also there is a good chance that next year or next year I will upgrade my computer and maybe then it will work because my projects with lots of details so that could be the reason so I really hope to upgrade the computer. So as for the habitat for the platypus the inspiration I took and I also think I'm not the only one lol it's from san diego zoo safari park and I showed it on a dark state cause I much like it in the dark it looks more realistic to platypus! So what's the future of this Zoo? I currently do not know as I said maybe it will work fine now or it will continue to crash I currently do not know but what if it works I want to end the Wetlands World Discovery buliding then or add all the other wetlands animals cause this building can not have all the 8 animals. or maybe to add there animals from conservation pack idk right now but I'm so happy that I could join this zoo and show u this habitat and I hope it will be much better! hope u will have a wonderful day!

It's been a while since I built something, but this weekend I started on some habitats based on a zoo concept art I found a while ago. The newly resized Bactrian Camels now have a home in Paradise Planet. While I don't have the skills to make it look quite as good as the original, here's what it looks like at the moment:

I actually wanted to work in my garden...but today it's 30 degrees and tomorrow and the day after tomorrow it's supposed to be 37 degrees... no thanks to the heat

Added the camels to my city zoo. They look so good now that it feels like if we just got a brand new animal.
Also finished the chimp habitat. It's one of the old habitats of the zoo which has received some minor touch-ups to try to modernise it a little bit. Large windows have been opened on the brick walls and a wooden structure has been added to provide some shadow for the visitors and to break the heavy-brick look of the zoo.
I like how the new climbing frames mix with the old ones:

I'm playing around with Greenhouse designs and theming - just for fun - Having wanted Hotels in game for ages - I have been playing around with structural design to include restaurants and room for hotel rooms (in the future) and including the ever important beautiful plants-capes and plant-specimen goodness. Trying to make them structurally and architecturally accurate (not the first photo) - did want to be an architect - Power to greenhouses . . .
