What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Got my first bat exhibit done and plan to add Meerkats next to it...the surroundings are obviously not done yet because of that xD

Finally had the chance to get back into Mwitu Zoo.

Today, I started a mandrill habitat. First, I wanted to build for the striped hyena, but I had a bit of a creative block with the cheetah habitat, and didn't want to built another similar habitat right after it.

Mandrill island with a private indoor house. WIP.

The cheetah habitat. It doesn't look good from the top, but I think all the viewing areas look pretty neat. It's pretty simple, but I knew I wanted a bigger habitat, and there had to be points of interest scattered around it otherwise it would just look like a big fences area. I still need to touch up the tunnel area with some flowers. And the whole thing needs lights all around.

Wow @markun that all looks so realistic! Very impressive.

I discovered yesterday that I could change the keyboard controls (yes, I'm slow haha) and it has been such a game changer - using X and Z when I have my left hand on the mouse was such a pain, so I swapped them over to the number keyboard on the right hand side (to use my right hand) - 2 and 3, and everything is SO much easier now!

I built this simple structure in no time - I need to jazz it all up but I was so happy that I didn't have to struggle with the keys anymore!

Your building style gets better and better @markun and is really inspiring! Makes my fingers a little itchy to start another zoo, maybe medium budget

Thank you for the kind comments! I find doing lots of little builds has helped in getting ideas that work together to make a whole zoo in a style that I like.

I have actually started on something new in the same style which is the most ambitious thing I have ever done and I am aiming not to use any blueprints.

Working on the Meerkat habitat and almost got it done now. Also plan to add a little garden opposite it as a place where the guests can relax and then no idea what I'm gonna add next...I'm open to suggestions (have all dlc as well) just nothing too high appeal as it's not too far from the entrance just yet ^^

Today i had the sucky situation that my game suddenly started lagging extremly hard, quickly becoming nearly unplayable after i placed down an exhibit box.
When you try to give them another shot but they break your game
I got a little bit done like a custom australia sign and a bit of interior work on the outback outpost, so enjoy that while i hope that next time i start the game planet zoo wont just lagg so hard that its opening tabs i never choose when all i did was trying to rotate a rock

Wow, beautiful, @Nioell.
Gives me a lotta inspiration.
But, imma have to take another break from the community for a bit😅. See y'all when I come back (at this point I doubt myself in leaving for good🤣)

New year, New Zoo! I have to stop making too big zoos with collections we have half the missing animals from so heres a much easier zoo to tackle than the monster that san diego is. I realised maybe the game just cant handle a full detail zoo that is the size of the entire map so heading back to the pacific northwest is the next zoo i plan to actually complete - the woodland park zoo in seattle.
Just started today is the southern entrance with the general layout for the 1:1 scale parking area - a total of 137 parking spaces with 4 other lots to build around the zoo. This is the first time i have nailed the scaling correctly as i have finally learned my lessons from previous zoo builds
