What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Haven't really been active with showing my reuilding / zoo progress of Unity, so to get started with sharing again, here is a little picture dump. Hopefully I go back to sharing regularly somewhat soonish.

Great use of the new pieces and foliage!

It warms my old heart seeing all these NZ plants in people's zoos. It's even funnier looking out the window and seeing all of them in my garden, except the coastal grass.

Yesterday I started a new zoo project. Welcome to Eastborro Zoo, set just outside Baltimore, Maryland. I have photos of 2 habitats, those being the ‘welcome’ habitat, with Red Kangaroos, Red-necked Wallabies, and our Emu Limu. The other one is a fox habitat. The fox barn does connect to the AU habitat as well but I built it after I took the picture. I also did some detailing that’s not on there.

I also built a section across from the foxes for Cougars, Armadillos, and Rattlesnakes. It’s called Cougar Cove! You can see the Armadillo Pen on the left and I sectioned off a part of the exhibit box for the Rattlesnakes. Our Cougar, Karris, is directly across. The area was based off one at the Stone Zoo.

Well well well, today i did some renovation efforts to get my earlier creations up to snuff, with the red crowned cranes and bison turn this time. Im very happy with the touch ups to the cranes, whose habitat allready had a nice layout and bases, but was really modest on the vegetation and decoration, so i added some!
It defenetly looks much more lush and lively now ^^

Outdoor Quokka enclosure is finished, tomorrow I will start and hopefully finish the indoor building. Then if I feel like going back to penguins I’ll begin the outdoor area for them, if not, Tassie Devils it is. I also have made a couple adjustments in the plans, but I’ll share those later after this habitats done.

Another day another bit of progress, i built a nice little seating area in front of the australia house for my guests to take a break and eat their snacks while having a nice view on the emus and wallabys.

But thats not all as i also started to pretty up the dholes a bit, not perfect and still lots to do, but it really comes together with the bison habitat in the back

A day off is so nice! ☺️
The enclosure is huge (10k sqm). But I wanted it to look like the pengus live there freely.

Lol, okay Fini, just a heads up: I just researched Galapagos Tortoise habitats and came up with the exact same shelters for them. I'm going to start to work on them, soon. I am not copying you, great minds just think alike :D

Love your habitat and your way to do scenery is perfect!

No problem. I just "copied" the huts. A week or two ago I saw a film on ARD about little penguins; they also had boxes like that that you could open from above. The movie was really cute, it was about a dog who protected the penguins from foxes on a little island.

Thank you 💖

Since weekend I'm working on an improved Madagascar area. I deleted most of the old area (except the tortoise house) to fit in the fossa.
Here are some WIP pics:

Remember these mesh tunnels I made for the lemurs? They will now be used by the fossas, I hope they'll actually use it (I've tested it already and they can at least fit through the tunnels). I put the blood sniff enrichment thingie in the tree house, so this should give them a reason to go there.

How did you make them round? New Pieces that I don't know yet?

No.
The metal frame is made of the bent metal beams from the Australia pack. The netting isn't actually round but more like an octagon and is made of the 0.5 x 0.5 m net pieces which we already have a while in the game. But you don't really notice that the net isn't round.
