What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

You didn't overwrite them all did you? Could be a computer issue or general planet zoo problem, if so drop a ticket to support.
I sent a message to frontier after one of the crashes. Sometimes my game just does this also, last week it crashed a couple times before it loaded the third time. This is just the first time it won’t open after 15 tries.

What do you mean by overwriting them?

Overwriting means just saving over the existing file. Like if your zoo started having problems without you knowing and saved over all the files then every save will have problems. But the way you describe the crashes makes me think this is a computer problem that is possibly under requirements.

That’s unfortunate, I just got this set up :( I’ll try a few more times later today and see if I can get in.
Might be pointless saying this but be sure to check all the troubleshooting steps for crashing and performance issues from the link. One step of importance is the full process of reinstalling the graphics card driver, it helped me a while back on my old laptop.

Hey @Captain Callum i saw that you’re having the same problem I am with your San Diego zoo recreation. Just wondering, what’s your plan going forward?
Buy a new computer after Christmas 😕, my laptop physically wouldn't turn on so I sent it to a repair shop and they said the graphics card is bust. Hopefully yours isn't as bad as that, If you think yours is due to hardware, use the warranty on it to get looked at if concerned.

So are you gonna try to reopen San Diego? Or are you thinking about starting a new project?

At this rate with 2 failed attempts I think san diego is destined to fail due to the zoo being 106 habitats big... A size that is double of the largest zoo I have ever built, motivation for the project is extremely low. So I'm thinking a new project in a colder climate, likely either a canadian or uk zoo for a change.

May i suggest checking out either zoo duisburg or zoo gelsenkirchen?
Beautiful zoos with the latter being rather digestible due to the way it disects itself into 6 different areas (Main plaza, tortoise garden, traditinoal farm/petting zoo, asia, alasca, africa

Would you be interested in a collaboration series perhaps?

I've tried a collab project before with another person and it never worked out that well, I'm next to useless on anything that isn't a recreation 😅My creativity is not what it used to be so if I'm not copying a zoo i turn into a beginner player who struggles to build anything despite my vast knowledge of the game , thanks for the offer though.

Prepping for the new pack i expanded my asia section, starting with lots of terraforming and finally building my dholes a shelter.

Important here is that theres a second view point for a good look on the bisons, a not very bad view for the riverside part of the dholes and because it breaks up the pathing a bit, which is allways nice
