What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

@markun Great work as well, you really caught the Mediterranean vibe.

Thank you! It's inspired by visits to places like Rome, Barcelona and Lisbon and by pictures of Jerez although I have never been there.

Here is the flamingo enclosure. The flamingos are all named after Spanish Eurovision singers

Love this. I need the list of names 😂
Of course! First, here is another view of the flamingos with the cat (and now striped hyena) enclosures in the background and a glimpse of the giraffes.

What I did today was finally sort out my slow-maturing reptiles from my fast-breeding birds (in Franchise mode) and I felt quite accomplished because my zoos were all sorted out with the exception of a very few animals who needed enclosures built before they could leave the Trade Depot storage. Then my tropical bird zoo was struck by a heat wave, which I had never observed before, and I came here looking for information about heat waves. I found out that my table of temperatures for biomes was out of date and now I have to sort my 19 zoos. Again. They do get better each time I rearrange them, But. I. Just. Finished. laughing maniacally

The first major animal area (canada themed of course) of the zoo begins with a prairie themed area with prairie dogs and american bison, these are very large habitats greatly exceeding habitat requirements with the prairie dogs in a 700m2 habitat while the bison enjoy a spacious 7500m2 habitat split in half with an overhead path. Buffalo grass has been placed... one too many times, but realism calls right?

Jesus, I never expected someone to talk about Eurovision here 😂 I'm a HUGE fan of this contest (guilty pleasure), for real. My life revolves around 3 passions: animals (and therefore Planet Zoo), science (I work in the research field) and Eurovision. And I never thought about giving artists names to the animals in my zoos :') I prefer to call them after friends' names 😂

I’m a huge fan, I watch as many national finals and associated events as possible - this week I had holidays so I could watch Sanremo 🇮🇹 and play Planet Zoo 😊. I have even been to a few contests in person.

I actually once named my emus Kate, Miller, Heidke, Guy and Sebastian 😂

By the way, a while back I made this suggestion:

Lets just say, im cooking something special

Today i finally added the first aviary to my zoo in the cold asia section, just above the wild boars.

Its currently used as a living space for one very unhappy binturong, but maybe you guys can guess for who it actually was intended.
The habitat features a lovely mash view, which just is the price we pay, being just as irritating to look through as irl.

The holding facility also features a large vivarium for fire salamanders, ideally even more native amphibeans, as part of the amphibean breeding programs across europe.

Also got a shot of my zoo from above and i gotta say especally after not playing in a while it feels so massive and gigantic.
I know it pales in comparison to many other zoos, but cant lie im very very proud of it.
And with 34 habitats and 5 exhibits across 47 different species it also starts coming close to the diversity of an actual zoo.
Took me 3 years so far and propaply atleast 2 more to finish it, but its just so nice to watch it grow more and more
