What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Making another truck.

Damn that is some nice work! Love the detail you see in uh... everything.

Also indeed some nice work of Captain Callum his ac pack! It is nice to see that this game is still growing with the month with all the extra content :) Also funny that you mention that you will upload a new episode, didn't know you were on Youtube, but yesterday I watched the House of Tropics, nice work also on that! Looking forward so see this exhibit on YT

On the final stretch to finish the small clawed otters enclosure in the tropical house which has taken way too long lol but it has been imo worth the wait - just a few more touch ups here and there and the new episode will finally be uploaded.

And @Captain Callum first time using your roof ac megapacks, they fit in great, absolutely amazing! 👌
Glad you like them , they look great on your building!

Put some hours in the bonobo exhibit again this morning. What started yesterday evening with me writing down "viewing point on poles", starts to turn out in this custom viewing point, with a nice path towards it. The building is not completely finished yet, I still want to decorate it a little more.

In the last picture you can see the second viewpoint point. Here I also want to build a small building which is giving guests covered view inside the bonobo exhibit, with at the other side a look into the okapi exhibit.

@Captain Callum What did you use for the toes of the birds?

edit: Oh its the door angle piece but sunken into the ground right?
It's the long window shutter from the Europe dlc, the top part is shown and the long part is hidden underground. Works great for birds on the ground or rocks but the hinge parts will appear if wanting the birds in trees.

Example of the feet when raised:

Had to try myself and man this is hard :D
And yeah the scale, Pz is just lacking the small pieces for this, got it to a point where its a little over a meter tall
Mine looks kinda janky up close. But if you look at it from some distance and maybe trough mesh? Not to bad i think

Yeah the scale is hard especially since the larger pieces are required for nicer looking birds. I got mine down to 1.4 metres which online sources state is the largest size of secretary bird but maybe still a little on a big side. It seems birds that need long legs like secretary birds, storks, cranes etc are really hard to get to scale but birds like the eagles I built are exactly the right size.

Finally playing again (I've been busy with university work and music), I've been working on a Florida Everglades House.

Annoyingly most screenshots I take are too large for the forum and I don't want to resize too much.

Does anyone have any advice for making the walls and entrance look nicer?

Looking great! A fix for that is compressing them on imagecompressor.com, which I do sometimes.

I took a break on the large building and I did something else today: an enclosure for the magnificient porcupine. It's one of the oldest habitats in the zoo, so it's quite classic and simple. Back in the day it housed other large animals, but now the smaller porcupine has taken over. The indoor shelter has a raised floor so it offers better viewing opportunities!

Normally I tend to fill every single space in my zoos, but this time I left the lawns aound the procupine enclosure open.

Im just gonna leave this here, but i made a longer post about prettying up the exterior of buildings in this thread

Just did some landscaping and planing around the castle ruin today. Started with building the trail that leads up to the castle and also the one that will bring you back down. Really wanted to build this in a way where the castle is an optional part of the trail, but also so that you dont miss anything while taking the castle route.
Also marked out the next two enclosures on the trail which will be the otters and ibex (+ ideally chamois and marmot, gotta see if there are some nice mods for those).
Also still unsure if i really wanna do that wetlands birds aviary in the middle area where the smaller lake is. I think i would be really cool but im unsure if having such a big structure basicly in the middle of the park would look to high budget for the "hiking trail made wildpark" theme.
