What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

While everybody else is struggling with their normal builds, this guy made red bull cans. What a time to be alive
Ngl mad respect, your building skills got real great, in just a few months it feels like that you are together with callum among the best at these small finicky prop builds
Thanks! I mean to be fair those cans really arent anything crazy, just a couple led caps stacked ontop of each other
The slushy machines - perfection. Did you upload this to the workshop?
Yes!

Talking about small prop builds, I got another one in the works. 20 turtle and tortoise props soon to be built.

Alright so some progress on these tortoise/turtle props, this is notably more difficult than 100/200 piece birds or lizards. I'm using the modded tortoises are a guideline to get the right shape for a base tortoise, which I chose the red-footed tortoise as my 50cm big tortoise, which a lot of species chosen are. With tracing the modded animal, I was fairly impressed with the result however... it's a 1000 pieces to get this much detail. I'm planning to remove parts of the inner shell to see if I can lower it by a few hundred by I'm not sure how low I can go without comprising the structure of the shell.

Well .. I finally finished my A Zoo remodel .. started with 400k last week. I am now -50k rofl. But all animals in now. So worse case scenario I try and figure out how to improve things and do another remodel, probably in a new zoo .. again . But for the most part it's staff wages. I need to figure out how to minimise staff while keeping costs down and the animal welfare up rofl. Anyway, here's the final overview screenshot.

Alphabet Zoo - A.jpg

I kicked off my tropical biome zoo remodel with an all new habitat for the Bengal Tigers. I’m having to use all the habitats that were on the outermost edges of the zoo to fill in all the empty areas in the middle. I got a bit too ambitious on the size. I’m at 89% on the complexity meter. 😬

Up next is the combined habitat for Asian Small Clawed Otters, Binturongs, and Proboscis Monkeys.

With the Alphabet A Zoo finished for now .. time to move onto the world zoo group of zoos. With the Snow Leopard the target of next weeks challenge. Time for WZ - China to be created.

Started with the one and only exhibit animal that is in the same area as the Snow Leopard, the Swallowtail Butterfly. So, I created a forest path and placed 2 walkthroughs and removed all their walls ( and again when the walls went back up when I placed the butterflies in them rofl ) and placed some vending machines between them and some info stalls near the entrance to the forest.

Next task was to find a habitat that was impressive enough to be the only thing directly accessible north of the entrance. Out of the few animals I hand picked from all the Asian animals to share the zoo with the Snow Leopard the Bactrian Camel and Przelwaski's Horse ( or however it's spelt ) would fit nice. With around 6k of land to run around in as their herds grow it should last them a long while. The downside was that the two animals, while enriching each other have a fine line on what terrain they like. But I just managed it. The green pathways are for the staff to move around the zone and avoiding the noisy guests rofl.

So, I now have the temperate forests to the east and the muddy deserts to the north. These will slowly advance to the Taiga and Tundra zones for their respective animals. The west will be reserved for a vehicle route around the paddock at a later date and maybe another set of butterfly walks if I need even more instant sales money rofl.

Finshed phase 3 of my China segment of the new World Zoo part of my franchise. Temperate Forest that comes off of the butterfly forest posted earlier and if I do add a transport network to go around the paddock it will be on the other side of the track. This group of habitats contain the Binturong, Pangolin, Red Fox and Clouded Leopard. Definitely need some more trees here for the foresty look, but trying not to help any of the animals from escaping via an overhanging tree rofl.

Phase 4 will contain the Red Panda, Pallas Cat, Takin and Panda for the transition from the temperate and butterfly forests towards the taiga mountains where the Snow Leopard will finally make an appearance in time for a bulk of the challenge hopefully.

If the zoo continues to make profit as it is at the moment, I'll probably try and spread the habitats out a bit. But after I have everything in place rofl.

Today is a day of building a habitat for brown bears, and I have to admit that there are still many areas that need improvement. But as everyone often says, the Himalayan brown bear is the most debatable choice, and the Eurasian brown bear or the Ussuri brown bear, or the Tibetan brown bear are better choices.
