What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

They should at least snap to each other so we won't need to copy a Piece of Wall with it
You don't necessarily. I started with two wall pieces as a base, but deleted those and made the rest of the mesh roof freehand (just ctrl+x). Then I made the building shell and just put the roof on top. I'm not totally happy with it, though - without corner pieces, roof pieces, triangular pieces, and so on, it can't really live up to its full potential.

Tbh i thought they handled quite well. Using the x button it was very easy to map them out next to each other or even overlap them
It's not so much about ease, but rather about time consumption and utility. An on-grid set of walls and roofs would make their primary usage a piece of cake (covered habitats). Right now it's a bit disappointing that the only real option is a big cube.

Thats true, when building fast they probbably arnt to usefull or atleast to time consuming. My whoule build was without gridpieces, so i didnt really think about it tbh but they would defenetly be nice

My question is a bit unrelated to this thread and it's not important enough to open a new thread so I'll ask here.

I think I read that scenery mods can also be used in franchise mode, and I just want someone else to confirm this for me. The green anaconda scenery mod has just been updated for 1.6 and I would like to use it, but I'm not sure if it works in franchise mode.

Wasted another hour of my life on the first Timed Scenario.

Unless I'm going to get the Gold, I don't see the point.

But I find them at complete odds with the game ethos about preservation and welfare. I challenge anyone to upload an acceptable version of a timed scenario that actually cares about animals rather than chucking them in any old how.

Don't really know if they can be used in Franchise. I assume they can. But be aware that you don't use it in Blueprints you'll upload to the Workshop because they will let the Game crash for everyone who doesn't have the Mod

Thanks, I am aware of that, but I'm just not 100% sure if scenery mods work in franchise mode. I think they do, but not sure.

I posted a specific thread on this to make sure the wishes are noted.

Went to the other side of the sea and started something completely new. Also still a lot to do, but i like the first look so far.

I've been changing some of the plants in the African area of my Zarpa zoo to use the new ones and have more palm variety. Also, I've placed the African penguin in the former pigmy hippo habitat. I only had to modify some little things, so it's been quite easy. My first penguin baby has a brown colour.

A little WIP sneak peak of my Elephant Bull enclosure. The right side need a lot of work, so that is why I am not showing it.

This enclosure is located away from the rest of the African area as an extension to a small nature track, which is why there is only plants native to North America.
The building in the background is the females indoor facility, which is accessible by guests.

This enclosure ended up feeling a bit on the small side, but there is still room to expand it on the right side as well as adding a stable. I also think I might need to make the fence a bit taller, now that I see the bull in there. Besides that I feel really satisfied with how this turned out. I have for sure improved my rock and terrain skills while working on this park.

Looks really nice. I've also finished my Bull Elephant Enclosure a few Days ago. The one for the female Elephants still needs a lot of Work.

Here's my progress from yesterday afternoon and early af this morning. Still need to add some education points and stuff so it isn't quite done yet, but I'm happy with it thus far. I'm excited to upload this zoo to the workshop
I really like the Sign that shows where everything is.
Which Wood Piece is the one in the last 3 Pictures? Do I need the Africa Pack for it?
