What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Thank you so much! I'm never happy with my builds, everyone here makes such gorgeous builds. Your comment makes me feel so much better about my work, it means a lot :giggle:❤️
Look id consider myself to be a bit above average builder but my stuff pales in comparison to this plaza! Its so pretty and neat and just feels like it could be a pic from a real zoo.
Also what animal is kept in the enclosure?
And can we maybe get a closer look at it? 👀

Today (well over the past week) I started my first ever Savannah habitat! Can't believe it's been 2.5 years but better late than never 😁

Was my plan for today to prep the boar habitat? Mayhaps
Did i do a little bit of terraforming before getting sidetracked and just decorating some previous areas? Possibly
Welp lets introduce you all to the now much more detailed Jungle Snackbar behind my tropical house and the first third of the lemure outdoor habitat.
Behind the tropical house, visitors find a nice rock garden (that doesnt exist yet in the green space in the middle so imagine it) inhabited by 3 freeroaming peafowl, aswell as a little seating area and one of so far only two guest facilitys in my entire zoo, the jungle snackbar with fries, drinks and an imaginary toilet cause obviously the toilets that are literally a void in a block shape needs to be 4x4x4.

While quite a bit of work has allready gone into the otherside featurig fallow deer and siamangs (eventhough i will most likly at some point scrap the brachiachtion frames as its a reliq of the dark ages pre tropical pack) the lemures where so far living in literally nothing regarding the outside, so im happy to announce that they can now play around in an actually decorated place with some climbing frames

I'm working on my Vietnam section. I used a lot of pieces from the stunning Hutan Rimba by Zekin, and a bunch of other workshop items, to make this courtyard area. It's still a heavy WIP with a lot of placeholders, but I think it's coming together ok.

That Arch though, omg. Pure love.
I need to take some inspiration from here for my Bengal tiger habitat I feel. Or at least try to, because that work here is next level!

Finished the snow leopard habitat and started working on the takin enclosure and surrounding areas today.
Above of the snow leopard and takin habitats I'm building a little snack bar area. This is actually the highest point of Biopark and if a takin is standing on the ibex enrichment mountain (which I really hope they can use), it's going to overlook the whole zoo. :)

So cool, I have also planned Snow Leopard and Takin section in my zoo, now I have some inspiration. :)

This is really nice!

Prepping for the new pack i expanded my asia section, starting with lots of terraforming and finally building my dholes a shelter.

Important here is that theres a second view point for a good look on the bisons, a not very bad view for the riverside part of the dholes and because it breaks up the pathing a bit, which is allways nice

Your builds are good as always!
All I did today was build a house...

I'm preparing an extension of my European area in Zoha Twenthe...

As you can see, there will be a giftshop at the entrance, with flamingo's as neighbours probably and across them there will be a forest for Wisent and probably Wild Boars.
Beside that I also edited my Peafowl garden around the manor next to the zoo and prepared a Mute Swan habitat:

and I finished up some habitats of which I just will show you some screenshots:

Vulnerable European Amphibians exhibits build next to the Red Deer stables.

The Red Fox habitat.

The European Badger habitat which you can also visit through a viewing dome.

Zoha Twenthe's most recent addition: a real visit able burrow to get a closer look at Europe's burrowing friends: foxes and badgers and have a peak into their burrows as well.

I love that you drew where what goes with the ground paint, thats such a cute idear for presentation!

I'm honestly just dabbling around in very old and not so old abondoned zoos to make room in habitats where there have been substitution species, to throw in the new species, just to look at them for a while.
Meanwhile I really really really need to suroress the urge to start yet another typical German "Tierpark", as honestly, autumn and winter always inspire me to build one with more easy to keep temperate to taiga animals, less theming etc.
I mean, just the fact that I could now have a nice little lake with swans on them at the entrance makes it incredibly hard to finish Unity first (and I will this time, for godesses sake!!!)

Well well well, did i get sidetracked again? Possibly

Do i mind? Not at all
Welcome to my newst yet oldest finished build, the american bison now wisent habitat and one of the key habitats in zoo wesselfeld. This is how everything began, the first habitat of the zoo back when i was still following the choose animals for me gimmick and the one animal i choose myself.
I started this build somewhere in autum 2021 between the NA and Europe packs and i gotta say it feels good to not only have it finished, but also in a form that im more then just a little proud of, even if i might do some more detailing in the future.
wisent6.jpeg

This habitat houses a herd of 7 wisent, one bull and 6 cows, aswell as a pair of wild swan which chare it on a gameplay level and kindly spend most of their time on the river.
My whole zoo was build around this habitat, a large open bison habitat at a river that is suppoused to be seen from all around the zoo, so shall we check how that worked out in a little picture dump?
First of the 3 main viewing points, the first being near the entrance where you have the choice to go right into asia, right across the bridge towards the rest of the zoo or take a little detour in the middle, climbing a little hill to be greeted by this wonderfull view across the habitat.
wisent9.jpeg

The second can be found across the bridge next to the now very bad looking prariedog habitat in comparison. If you look into the distance, the opening between the two trees is where the last major view remains.
wisent.jpeg

But to reach it, first you have to go through asia, getting nice shots as you look across the crane and dhole habitats, before you come to a new hill on the riverside, from where a nice view across the dholes and the wisent greets you.
wisent1.jpeg

wisent2.jpeg

wisent3.jpeg

But thats not all as not only will there be more for sure in the future once the asian area has been properply build up, you can also see them from the other side of the zoo from the lama habitat and a bit closer to where we started across the current red fox habitat.
wisent4.jpeg

wisent5.jpeg

Im very happy that i can say that i finaly finished this major habitat and all it took was a swan, a wonderfull and beautiful wisent and the hype of a new release and everything went smooth and fast as you could hope for.
There really isnt a better or clearer feeling that no matter how exhausting or annoying it can be to play especally when your on a creativity low, this game defenetly still is one of my beloved favorites and that wont change any time soon
