What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Changed the Interior of my Pygmy Hippo House. There's a nice Underwater Viewing Area now. But I can't place Paths everywhere I want because the Roof is mostly made out of a Path and I really want to keep that Gravel Roof. It just looks so nice

And the indoor part is done (though I might add some kind of climb proof on that wall in there) outdoor tomorrow :D

Amazing! Will it be available on the workshop?

Thanks! I haven't really thought about it, it's been ages since I uploaded anything there. Maybe? I'll have to see if that'd even work since I'm using a few barrier pieces inside the actual habitat to section things off and those can't be saved in blueprints, so there'd be giant holes in it >.>

I actually finished the indoor and backstage outdoor part and the Jaguars already moved in as well :D

New year, new project!

I was looking maps from real zoos around the world and I saw that the zoo in Hong Kong is quite small. Ocean Park also has animals, but I feel that such a big city could have a better zoo, so I decided to create one myself. The zoo would be located next to Hong Kong Disneyland.

This is the entrance:

And the view when you enter the park:

I had some time and creativity to play today and continued on my Southeast Asia Trail. First, there's a Komodo dragon habitat based on the Singapore Zoo one:

Inspired by Rudi's new video (which I totally recommend) I learned how useful the new faux rock pieces are and improved the walls for the pool surrounding my restaurant (based on the Bali Zoo). This is still very much a work in progress:

I've done a lot of Work on my Pygmy Hippo House. I've improved the Backstage Area with a Holding Pen in Case that one of them needs to be separated (also to give them less Space there, so they are more likely to move to the Indoor Area with the Guest Viewing Area). I've also built a Fake Path next to the Viewing Area (The Roof is made of a Path because I wanted a specific Material for it, so I couldn't place a Path directly beneath it). The other Path that leads to the Gate was hidden behind a Bamboo Barrier and in Front of it, a small Selection of tropical African Plants was added. The planted Area also got multiple Speakers that play Bird Sounds

Spending some time back in Jamestown Zoo and working on some basics. I think I'm up to 7 restaurants in the zoo now. I have basics for the newest two, The Valhalla Cafe (arctic area) and The Lodge (NA area), very basic on the latter.

Also have the basics for the primate house down, the outside at least. As I'm sure most of us know by now, build your roofs as a separate group! that makes them so much easier to move to do more on the inside.

And of course, obligatory overshot view. I don't think I've added in anything in since....year.....66?67? whenever I put in the deer. It's been at least 5 zoo years. Ready for the primates (of which I have none in my zoo currently). That side left corner is also whispering in my head..."put in an aquatic area...your computer will be fiiiiiiiiine :ROFLMAO: "

Sounds really cool, are you going to show some pics later? I'd really love to see the zoo you're working on :D

I'm planning to finish that Jaguar habitat later and get the nearby staff area decorated, not sure if I can get all that done in one sitting, though xD

I might show Pictures at some point. But not everything in the Pygmy Hippo House is done yet. There's also a Room between the Backstage Area and the Indoor Viewing Area and I don't know yet what to do with it, even though I do already have a few Ideas what I could do there. I also want (if it is possible) to make the Corners of the Roof look better (really didn't come up with a Corner friendly Design there). I also need to hide the lower Part that hangs into the Building with something. I'll probably build a Ventilation Shaft there

I kept working on my new "Planet Wild" park (the name might change).

I wanted to keep the view of the mountains from the entrance unobstructed, so I built a small habitat as the first thing people see: the prairie dogs! There are 2 information kiosks integrated in the habitat and a lot of covered space for the rodents to hide from the tropical rain.
