What do you want in Elite: Dangerous?

Surface bombing missions. We had those with skimmers (sorta) but then skimmer missions were changed. I specifically want to carry out an actual airstrike against a ground target. Like the nuclear bombing missions in FE2.

Conflict zones based around actual objectives. Like the port they're fighting over. If a system's at war it should feel like it when you try to dock.

Missions that take place in conflict zones such as "destroy the capital ship".

CZ-style "battle" USSs that contain specific objectives, with victory going to one side or the other. Kinda like the "ship under attack by waves of pirates, hold the pirates off until the rescue ship arrives" missions. Have missions on the board to go find these.

Some better way of finding USSs besides just sitting there and waiting for them to spawn. The wave-scanner is an interesting one. Could the discovery scanner be made to roughly pinpoint the direction some signal sources, then have them show up when you get close?

I'd really like three features, which I'd use together:

- Open-Only Powerplay

- A relative mouse toggle

- A huge frag cannon

Huge frag cannon.
Or game is broken/dead/finished, Haz my stuff etc.:D

OP: I'm working towards my third Corvette.
Core Dynamics: Accept no substitute.

The ability to sell second hand my engineered vessels to players and so remove the fact that every stations wants to buy your ships.

I like chasing credits and build complete fleet of ED ships. I like experimenting with fits, I have few ships of same type fitted for different roles. But lately it was mostly exploration to set my foot in Colonia and Sig A. So in general getting a fortune and stop worrying about rebuys and fly around. Got boring so I stopped for now and dont play more :)

Less rocks more life. Not as drastic but I feel like I jumped the borders of a Bethesda game. Currently we have 400 billion assorted piles of rocks and 3 different species of intelligent life. One which is presumably extinct. At this point I would settle for piles of microbial goo and a microscope. I can't help but ask what was the point. 3 out of 400,000,000,000, if anything deserved the use of random ahhh never mind.

Rather than stop playing, I chose to just do a different activity. I was fed up with the soul-crushing AI & took a slow ship around the galaxy. I tend to be a one game at a time kind of player though, I don't really have other games I want to play.

I want it all - and I want it now.

Seriously, I like to play this game, but it really gives not many reasons why to play it.

I enjoyed the engineer unlock quests. They drove me around the bubble to do various stuff. I enjoyed discovering alien structures in the Pleiades and guessing what the "black flight" wings are all about. I enjoy mild exploration, looking in the California Nebula for barnacles and pumpkins. I also enjoy to team up with a bunch of other players to do some powerplay.

So what would be great for my needs?

I am looking forward for powerplay overhaul, for exploration additions, for more story-hooks to get invested again. Also I'd love to hear what's behind the logs of Victoria's Song or the GCS Sarasvati and "Thunderchild".

Also I am hoping to be still playing when finally we can land on earth-like worlds.

I wouldn't mind some more personal purpose for what you do in ED.
Money serves only one thing, ships, engineering serves only one thing, ships, gathering mats serves only one thing, ships.
In the end I have 30 ships fully engineered, to do what?
In short, I miss a certain depth in ED.
You're supposed to be able to play ED in whatever way you want, at least that's how it's advertised but there's a huge lack of purpose and/or choice in doing so unless you choose combat which I don't.

Straight forward, I am kinda interested in what players want in Elite: Dangerous. Do you want a new ship? Do you want to battle a Thargoid? Or maybe just a huge pile of credits? Do you want to become good in combat and/or PvP? Do you want to fully engineer a ship/fleet? Do you want to get all the ranks to Elite and Admiral/Knight? maybe discover distant, unseen stars and planets so you can put your name on it?

And the next but most important question: Do you feel you are progressing towards that? How do you get there or what keeps you from getting there?

Aiming towards the discovery of a general problem (or multiple) here (if they exist) so guides and advice will be more helpful for a greater audience.

Immergent gameplay.

Different planets with gravities and atmospheres, an orrery, ............).

all of this ^^

and planets who's dark side stays dark, (not artificially brightened as you approach from orbit) so you 'need' to use instruments and have some skill to land.

I'm pretty happy with what we have. I'm finished with ranking up, most engineering and credits, so I'm playing the game I want to play. I suppose topping off engineering would be nice.

I play the BGS pretty much exclusively. Anything I do outside of the BGS is to further my progress with the BGS.

As far as a wishlist - A heading and course indication to give crab angle.

I'd like some new goals, things to work towards and a reason to do so. With enough money to do anything I want, being happy with my fleet and it's engineering there isn't really much to do with them. My trade site used to give me lots to do but now I'm sort of at a loss. I'm not into PvP, powerplay and the BGS seem pointless. Really I'd like to see more ways for me to interact with the world and a reason to do so, stuff to build, things to earn and unlock, new game systems to interact with that have some tangible effect. Q4 patch seems interesting as it give us more activities but I haven't yet seen any details on new motivations.

I would like :-

1. 3rd party apps and sites information in-game at a cost for the player in credits.
2. A micro transaction to buy a second Cmdr, that I can login to using my existing launcher.
3. An Iron man mode, that is restricted to IM-Open and only allows other Iron man mode players to join it.
4. To cruise through gas giants hunting Mega Massive Gas whales, Dive into the Oceans of a Water world and Harvest exotic elements and tag exotic creatures, I want to land on and earth like and become a God to the inhabitants.
5. To use my NPC crew to perform jobs whenever I am online, using my ships.
7. The things I buy, sell, or collect to have some noticeable effect on the economy.
8. For the Pilots Federation to stop insuring Murderers.
9. Federals and Imperials to stop allowing top ranking enemy pilots join them.
10. To remember there is a 6.
