What is the name of your exploration ship?

Since I've entered the lofty heights of carrier-borne exploration I've accumulated a number of different exploration vessels

Carrier (I count it here since it's my primary base of operations for exploration): TCS Havamal

Main explorers:
Krait Mk II - Dawnstar (my original explorer, brought me to Sag A* and back, earned me my Elite rank. I've spent tens of thousands of lightyears in her cockpit)
AspX - Victrix (I only bought the AspX after I won a paintjob in the screenshot competition, hence the name)

Secondary explorers:
Imperial Clipper - Muninn (Huginn is still dry-docked until I've found a proper use for it)
Keelback - Nidhoggur (primarily for Guardian related stuff)
Krait Phantom - Tranquillitas
DBX - Onyx
Beluga Liner - Queen of Dreams (placeholder name until I've come up with something better)

Multi-role
Anaconda - Terrible Beauty (not specialized in exploration, but she got everything she needs and I still use her in this role)

I have a DBX called Froghopper because it's small and can jump a long way.

My Krait Phantom is called Main bus B undervolt

And I have an Anaconda called Anomalocaris that I've not used for quite a while.

My Python is called Vultus Enim, the Imperial Courier is named Principem Aisling, and my favorite Orca is Regina Galaxia. Yes, I love Latin)

I brought my Asp Explorer in February 3301 and we've been all over the galaxy. It has the White Pharaoh paint job and is called Isil.

"Isil was first wrought and made ready, and first rose into the realm of the stars, and was the elder of the new lights, as was Telperion of the Trees."

Isil was the name for the moon in Tolkien's works. It was also said there that the youth Tilion, who guided the Moon, was said to secretly be in love with Arien, the maiden who guided the Sun. Forever destined to follow her. Just as my Asp is forever destined to follow the stars.


I wanted to give it a tag after the Codex was introduced, but it was too long so the name of the ship is now displayed in game as "White Dwarf Hunter" with a tag of Isil. I decided after 3.3 I would like to try and get a record reported into the Codex. I stumbled across a few, one thing led to another and about 4 months later I ended up with 110 😅 77 of which are White Dwarf stars, so it seemed fitting.

Haha. Yes, I've been visiting some of your tags in "the void" for the past couple of weeks. I've been in "the void" for over a year now (in Logic's Reach), and I thought I'd complete as much of the codex for the region as I could before moving on.

Heh, that's good to hear. I'm glad they are being of some use to someone, I spent months combing the Galaxy Map. I lost what little sanity I had left 😂

I know that feeling, happens a lot. I got two of the White Dwarf entries in Vulcan Gate a couple of years back ( I felt it important to bag some stuff in that region for some reason :D). Managed the Black Hole, Helium Rich Gas Giant and one of the Anemones too, plus a couple of volcanic entries.
