What other games are we all playing?

Is Wrath of the righteous any better than Kingmaker? Specifically is there a character present that utterly ruins the game that you meet right at the beginning and can't really get shot of?
Managed two whole hours of Kingmaker until all I wanted to do was erase that bard from any and all planes of existence. Permanently and with extreme prejudice.

Haha, i know what you mean, but i basically dumped her except for when I had to take her. Mercs are a good filler when needed, or the other companions, you get more than enough.

I have heard the characters are better done in WotR, but i can't speak about that until i get off the character creation screen.

Recently I played GTA Vice City.

I never bothered with the missions as I don't like killing people; I just downloaded a completed save and use that. I like to drive around the city in the different vehicles (or use the boat) and listen to the different radio stations. It's quite therapeutic. Sometimes I do the taxi rides because they're hilarious (with my driving, anyway).

Might have a bash at Quake 2 later on.

Oh dear, Wrath of the Righteous is just like Kingmaker.

Spent 4 hours on the character creation screen last night, still on it....

With 25 different starting classes, 161 subclasses, and 13 class evolutions it could take a while to start.

You can get a sneak peak at which companions can join you on your adventure, and where you can recruit them on this site( or you can create your own): https://pathfinderwrathoftherighteous.wiki.fextralife.com/Companions

Trying the last beta for Universim. When they launch version 1.0, that will leave me done with KickStarter projects (other than Little Devil Inside which I hold little hope for).
Is been this summer when I revisited. You can now go to the moon and the research tree was extended. the basic principle is unchanged. The UI kinda works in the early days - later I just don't bother. My impression is that it just isn't so hot.

It sounds excessive to me. How likely is it to make a bad pick and basically muck up the adventure right at character creation?
None, you can change the game difficulty during gameplay and also there are NPC that can respec your character , so you can remake your character if you felt like you made the wrong choice.
You can also choose between Turn-Base Combat and Real Time - and change it at any time during gameplay.

I member XCom Apocalypse doing the RTS / TBS optionally. What's better?

Not seeing it, but then I can only see a GTAV: Premium edition. 🤷‍♂️
Yeah I think it's a gimmick - I clicked "Install" and it took me to a separate Steam page which only had purchase options, with emphasis on "Shark Cards". That's fine, I'm not really interested in GTA (not my kind of game), but if it were free I might install it just for the exploration factor.

Someday someone will make a game like City Skylines that lets you then go down and walk around the cities you build, GTA-style. Now that's a game I could lose countless months to! TF2 kinda allows this, but not really (not like GTA).

And look at that, Ubisoft send Division 2 to Steam:

I heard they were pretty much done with the game, just cash soup and seasons now.
Ubisoft aren't doing that well with their own game service (Connect+)...besides the Tom Clancy games and Assassin's creed series, they've got nothing to show for what they're charging for the service.

I've got Ubi Connect+ since it contains all of Ubisoft's game franchises all in one place...all DLC and season passes etc as part of the service. I still play the AC games plus TC's GRW Wildlands regularly...but very little else they have on offer. It costs more per month (no annual subscription offer either) than MS Gamepass ultimate or EA Play pro but offers way less due to having very little 3rd party content.

The only reason I haven't binned it is the fact that I still play Wildlands and a few AC games plus dlc's and season passes installed via the game service, so it's a case of cancel the sub and lose the games. Somehow...I feel there's a buyout coming for Ubisoft...another Microsoft acquisition perhaps? 🤷‍♂️

Picked up Cyberpunk 2077 for my PS5 on the PS store January sale for £19.99. Absolute bargain as far as I'm concerned, I'm loving it!

I'm playing it just on a regular HD telly with the ray-tracing turned on and it's both fast & beautiful.

Only time I get Connect is if when they release a new game that I have any interest in (must be single player playable). If it's any good then I get 1 month to finish it. If I really enjoyed it then wait for a decent 80% sale and buy it then. If its complete tosh, then I've only lost a few quid. Main thing is I get longer than the standard 2 hours to decide if it works for me before the refund window closes.

4 days of planning my character in WotR, finally threw out all complex ideas and went for a Monk. Punch things in the face until they drop, can't really go wrong with that.

Was about to play then daughter remembered we hadn't killed the 5th boss in Valheim and wanted to play.

Went to our main base to prepare for it, make stuff, etc, and 2 trolls rolled in through the stone walls and destroyed a chunk of the base. Quick repair, back to prepping.

Then off to the mini base near Yaguleth to set the spawn point and take him on.

20 mins later we had him down by 20% health using cold arrows. Didn't help with fuelings spawning or a group of Lox who wandered into the middle of the battle and took offense at us.

We gave it another 10 mins but in the end we just couldn't be bothered any more. It was just too much of a toil. Who designs enemies to be such bullet sponges they can take an hour or more to take down? At least scale their HP based on how many players are in the session.

Think i'll use cheats to deal with him so we can get on to shadowlands.

Back to WotR and now have a party of 6 monks. Having fun.

I think you are meant to use melee. Remember the blob? Could eat many arrows. And the tree, too. I haven't found the dragon boss yet but I'll eventually revisit the game.

Different guides suggest different strategies. His attacks are fairly short range but powerful, so dangerous to get in close. I tried it a few times but ended up having to run a lot waiting for healing potions to take effect and regen to happen, and then having to wait for timers on healing potions to wear off. So mainly was plonking with cold arrows, which is another suggested tactic.

Maybe have to try melee again, but hell, its just such a frustratingly long fight its just too annoying.
