I love the fact that you can summon a swarm of rats to eat your enemies, that's way better use of magic than the usual boring shoot fireballs and lightningI've just started playing Dishonored. It was on sale on Steam with all it's DLC, so I thought it worth a punt.
The graphics are no worse than a lot of games I still play, but do look a bit dated. I'm finding the linear-with-branches maps quite entertaining whilst also a little claustrophobic and limiting.
Overall I'm enjoying it and will likely play it all the way through, and then delete it. I'm onto the third chapter (the bridge) and feeling that replayability is fairly low, but we'll see. The 'levels' or 'maps' all seem quite small, and so I can't see them bearing repeated playing.
But it is good fun!
Found this wee gem when I was scuttling around t'interweb. Early access of course but it's looking good. Good enough that I dropped a small amount on patreon to support it.
Besides all that, IL2 now has Mossies
I've played Steel Beasts...got something similar in Steel Armor which I think is the follow on from SB. I've played everything from Team Yankee back in 1990 onward...including M1 Abrams when that came along. I like the tank simulator in IL2: BoS...for a flight sim, it does the tanks pretty good. All WW2 of course but it has fully modelled interiors and visible crew as well. Thanks for the link to Gunner Heat PC. This one creeped up on me. I'm a long time tank sim guy; all the way back to M1 Tank Platoon.
The crew views look a lot like Steelbeasts (but less complex in some ways), which I had from its first version thru Steelbeast Pro PE ( I still have but not loaded atm). I played all the more recent tank games except War Thunder, I played WT in the early releases but was too busy with WoT and SB Pro PE at the time to spend much time playing it. Currently the only tank game I play is Armored Warfare to get my combat fix with.
I'm watching vids on this game and I'll be doing more research and may download in the next few days. I'm reminded reading comments on videos for this game, how few people heard of Steebeasts. SB and SB Pro PE are the best full armored combat sims around, imho. You can play from the tank or from a map view and jump into any vehicle under your control.
Thanks again.

Ahhhh, M1 Tank Platoon. There was this unbeatable scenario. Then I read something about reverse slope defense and tried it out. It was pure slaughter on the AI.Thanks for the link to Gunner Heat PC. This one creeped up on me. I'm a long time tank sim guy; all the way back to M1 Tank Platoon.

You're very welcome, on both countsThat link I posted ^^ to SB forums starts out negative but cools off near the last few pages of posts. I've considered reloading SB again but my game time is so limited, last time I had it running I rarely had enough large blocks of free time to play. I'm tiring of AW again so another tank sim is definitely in my future.
Thanks again, Mole HD. And thanks for your service Sir.
At this moment: Truck Simulators (Euro Truck Simulator 2 tbh). But I still play space-sims, simulations, sometimes some WoT/WT for once or twice before I purge my disk in rage...
Sometimes also even other multiplayer games, like MechWarrior Online.

Star Wars Interworlds based on X4 Foundations?
I'm still waiting for the Elite Dangerous total conversion mod of X4 FoundationsStar Wars Interworlds based on X4 Foundations?![]()
I bet. Yet if it would happen, things would be seriously lit, even when the game world would be limited in scale just to few systems, like in FFE or Elite II.I'm still waiting for the Elite Dangerous total conversion mod of X4 Foundations
Though I bet Braben would go nuclear lawyer over that.

I just selected the 'Or save 15% if you pay annually' highlighted text at the bottom of the monthly option buttons, then filled in the details once I had logged into my patreon account... €25 per year was the option I selected...the cheapest. The Patreon page has no option for one time payments; it appears they only accept monthly subscriptions.
Am I wrong ?
I would rather drop them the equivalent of two or three months of money w/o a monthly payment (its just me, I'm unusual that way).
Back in 2014/15, I invested in three games via early access packages. Two of the three games gave me tremendous enjoyment. I also recently bought Astrox and will never regret the money even if I don't end up enjoying the game (I'm still learning). I liked the Astrox developer's committment (so, have a few buck to help). None of those were subscriptions so I'm a bit slow at using new payment options.
