Thrustmaster T.16000M. Keyboard for engines and yaw.

If you have money to burn just get the CH Combat Stick or Flight Stick model and/or Pro Throttle or if supremely rich a Warthog (the best). X52 Pro is good but overpriced.

So the X55 Rhino has a problem then? Because I understood it uses separate USB?

And what 3d part software are you talking about?
One would expect the peripheral designers to take care of that themselves.

This has already been fixed in the Alpha releases, but people in the premium Beta are using Alpha 1.1, and some are reporting issues with the Rhino. Take a look at the X55 forum. http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=14153&page=8

The last part of my all CH HOTAS setup (the pedals) should be arriving next thursday. Then things will probably start looking much like this:

I've got a Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar and F16 pedals. I think I've spent as much time setting up and trying different function configurations as I have actually playing! :)

I just ordered a CH throttle to complement my 10-year-old CH Fighterstick. Reading around and watching someone's nice video comparison to an X52 Pro, it seems that - ignoring superficial bling - CH Products still consistently come out on top in their price range. This is exactly as it was when I got the stick (and the reason I got it).

It's amazing that from a certain point of view this company practically "solved Joysticks" a few decades ago. :D

Next up in one or two months: Pedals \o/

I have finally managed to activate my Alpha account (not Frontier's fault, and a complicated tale) and get to grips with my full CH HOTAS setup. I must say it's utterly lovely, and the CH software is the first actually good controller setup software I have encountered. I love how easy it is to set up good s-curves on the thumb stick even

Btw, my Allegiance squadron mate found this: http://www.rrauction.com/preview_itemdetail.cfm?IN=431

How's that for a controller to convert for Elite? ;)

I will be using a Thrustmaster T-flight HotasX.
IMHO, best value for money joystick out there.

I also have a Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710. Might give it a go...

I currently own CH combatstick and CH pro pedals. I am using old throttle from saitek x45 cuz I am poor but I am struggling with the axis for lateral and vertical movement. I am seriously thinking to order CH pro throttle. I wish to bind this lateral and vertical axis on that mini joystick which comes on CH pro throttle. Can anyone confirm it is a good idea and that this little joy is well reachable with your thumb. If this idea is stupid, let me know how you do it, maybe I have missed some better solution :)

I'm loving the Pro Throttle, and having the translational thrusters on the thumb stick is amazing. I'm still not much good with it as I have about 1 hour of flight time in the game, but it really does feel right.

The CH Throttle is nice (even smoother with a tiny smidge of silicone grease on the teflon sliders internally), and the thumb stick will be easy to reach. I've got an older one with an 8-way POV hat in its place instead, and will use either that or the index finger hat for thrusters.

Can you not assign the X45 throttle's index finger hat (or the mouse stick) to thrusters now?

I will use the X52 non-pro. Got it to work with Win 8.1 64bit after some sw glitches creating invalid device entries I could overcome.

Will have at least a look at the Thrustmaster Warthog and may use it later possibly, too.

I've been using an extreme 3D pro stick, both in alpha and in some flight Sims I play but its difficult to configure it right and some movements I do affect others. Like turning left increase the throttle by 10%.

So ive order a new one that will arrive early next week and I hope its better.

Does anyone have experience whit this flight stick? or even better tried it out in Alpha?

This is my set-up:

Thrustmaster HOTAS, Razer DeathAdder Mouse and BlackShark Headset. 2nd monitor used for game capture and maybe streaming. I've just added the pull-out shelf so that the HOTAS is at a more workable height. The keyboard is now on the shelf for the same reason.

Ive order same stick you are using, does it work well in Elite?
And can you play whit the stick whiteout the need to use the keyboard at all,
So you can handle all menus and stuff from the stick?
