What will be the name of your ship?

'Smell of Buddha / Shiva / Osiris' (nice Transponder-Codes)
'Instant Karma'
'Magic Bus / Dragon / Weed' (just imagine the paintjob on the hull)
'Red Baron' (again, imagine that paintjob, maybe on an Eagle Mk. II)
'Terra Nova' (just red Ranulph Fiennes' biografy about Scott, really cool book, also best name an explorers ship ever had)
'Nomad of the Void'
'The General'
'The Dude'
'USS Al Bundy'
'Great Ball of Fire'
'RocknRolla'
'Rusty Samurai'
'Conan'
'Montezuma's Revenge'
'Murphy's Law' (just wondering that nobody mentioned that before)

BTW, look at that:

I think the Amiga version of Elite's CobraMKIII was called Nemesis if I remember rightly from the manual that came with the game.

All my ships will have an animal name out of Irish Mythology - something to google as I fly past ;)

Now I Have Asked......

Posters on 2000AD Online Forum how many were backers here or if any of them planned to buy the games after it's released to the public if they would like to form their own exclusive group or guild called the Red-Branch-Knights.

A name well known in Irish folklore and history, but also a name more well known and connected to the famous 2000 AD character Slaine to people whom have been read the 2000AD comic for the last 30 years.

I was thinking then, maybe I could call my space-craft. (Obviously a Cobra Mark Three.) Brain-Biter after Slaine's preferred weapon. The double-bladed long handle axe.

Bit of stretch, but if you find a big enough stick and attach two Cobra Mark Three's to it. Both of them back to back or Aft to Aft. You got something that may look like one giant axe weapon like Slaine's.

I could also name my Space-Craft The Knucker after the dragon Slaine stole. I'm also thinking Dragon-Class space-crafts might be good idea.

I could also use the name Sky-Chariot or Cloud-Curraugh

Actual boat that flew with the assistance of Weird-Stones and the Drune-Preists that made rise prayers so they could ascend.

A cool name for any of the larger Ferd-a-lance, Python, Boa, Anaconda ships.

If there's no copyright against these names, of course.

The same I call all my initial ships in these kinds of games: "The Saucy Jane" (which is homage to "The Goodies" Pirate Radio episode)

I'm probably going to call mine Discovery since I am from the City of Discovery.

I was also thinking of something exceptionally rude but I am not going to tell you that here since I dont want to get banned which is probably what would happen.

I might name my ship the Vital Spark, but I don't know if it's a good idea to get too emotionally attached to a ship. I wouldn't think it would take too long before my pride and joy has been turned into plasma by pirates.
