Couple of my Capri's and Rs2000 4x4 and a Mk1 Rs Focus.
The red Tickford I have just finished restoring it. Taken 4 years but finished building the diff over xmas, just waiting for some sunshine to take her out and try it.
Got various other Capri's, including another Tickford and another 280 which is on my 360 spit half blasted!
They are all part of my pension fund, as the prices have gone through the roof, in fact worth more than my house now!
Good work here.

Perfect for static exposure.

To drive must pollute a lot.

Nice to see them beautiful Fords! I didn't realize Capri appreciated_that_much!
I think the times of picking up future classics for cheap are gone, on hand prices inflated a lot, on the other hand there are very few (post early 2000s) that have the potential, and those will never hit rock bottom.

My keeper is a '99 4dr Mondeo V6 manual with ST looks (at the time ST wasn't available yet), my father it bought as new. Used it as daily driver for many years before deciding I want to keep it for good - and given the rust it was possible only by putting it away for winters.

My daily driver is a Crown Vic Police Interceptor I imported from the States 5 years ago, but the past 2 years I am trying to keep it away from the worst of the salty Winter roads as much as possible, even though it is pretty far from being rust free.

So, yeah, two robust and reliable Fords with rust issues. :)
Mondeo on my father's driveway, where it is stored (this is why I cannot drive it as often as I wanted to), the Vic at a scenic spot.

Edit: deleted the photos as google listed them based on my numberplate...

Nice!

I saw a Capri up a tree once. Driver had missed a corner on a country road, hit a ditch & climbed a hedge.

Well maintained they will do just fine, all cars will pollute if they are not in a good condition, my old V8 Jeep 20 years old is still going strong and I use abuse it to the max.

how long do you have?
I enjoy gaming (RPG and simulation), crafting (Sewing, dressmaking, scrapbooking, card making, custom accessories etc.), tech and coding, dollshouse miniatures (collecting and making), reading, themepark visits... there are probably more.

I work away from home so stay in a flat during the week. In the evenings I play ED :D
As I work with computers all day (software developer), I get away from them completely at the weekends. During the Summer I like to pop down to the coast and do a bit a mackerel fishing. Otherwise it's riding my horse

or off to the range for a bit of target shooting

I didn't expect to see that. Ha! I have a couple of Capris myself - a 2.0S that I re-engined with a Rover V8 and a 2.0 laser that I'd refitted with a carb'd 2.8 V6, but was going to get the V8 once I'd repaired the corrosion. The S was just something to drive while I worked on the laser but on one bank-holiday weekend decided to just shove the engine in it, as you do. Then a year later it too needed bodywork.
Haven't touched them in years though, got depressed with all the metalworking and gave up. Went off in a different direction, ended up getting a pilots licence and went playing with aircraft instead.

Can't help myself when it comes to projects though and have now ended up with four aircraft. The old Thruster's airworthy, just needs the inspector to sign it off again, the Denney Kitfox I flew for a couple of years then took apart for restoration as it really was tatty. Then picked up a crash damaged Zodiac as it was going for silly money just to rebuild and sell again, but also recently ended up with a C42 in kit form for less than what they're worth - really could have done without yet another thing to build, but again it was a too good to pass up opportunity.

I kinda want to get back to the cars when some of the aircraft have gone and I have more room again.

Other than that just do the odd bit of drawing in the evening. Nothing serious, just cartoon type things.

Icehockey is the only hobby I practice regularly.

I used to do a lot of sailing. Both regattas and open ocean. Sadly I don't have the time for it now.

Hockey is great though. :)
