The only thing I can offer is that the game is worth all this hassle.


Its why Im a console player. I just couldnt keep up and didnt want to. I want an easy life and a 'make it so' solution :)

I do have a PS4, but PS4 games are much more expensive than PC ones, and IMO, PC games versions are usually the best ones (except for some games)

Thank you, Ozric. If, in my case, this is the key provided by Instant-Gaming, I already found it, but it has got 3 parts of 5 characters, each of the 3 parts is separated by a dash, but on the website of Elite Dangerous, they want 5 parts, not three ... And when I enter my code, it does not work.
That's not the support website though.

This page should be the one to help you. If it doesn't help at the bottom there is a link for "Submit a request for a Steam/Frontier issue" click on that and it will take you to the support ticket creation page.

 
That's exactly what I found on the web with screencaps sometimes, but that is inaccurate. The screencaps featured old Steam interface and I looked everywhere and it was impossible to find the so called "CD" key on Steam (certainly because I did not buy the game on Steam, but I bought the Steam key on Instant-Gaming) :unsure:

As I already said in that topic : Ummm ... Sorry but Instant-Gaming is a very serious website. It is a very famous and trustful one ... It is a well known one on the web to buy licence keys perfectly legally. very sure websiste ... I did not buy that key in a website on the dark web :giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle: (I buy nothing in the dark web, but that's a way to say, I am not buying stuff unlawfully).

Now, I will try to follow all your advices ... As I already said that is not easy : my birth language is not English.

Because they buy steam keys to resell them instead of obtaining them from the developer/publisher.

The page before you're redirected to elitedangerous.com says "if you brought the game before April 2019", which you haven't. Unless as Ettain says the key you brought was a very old one, in which case there's a far bigger problem.

Legally selling keys is a grey area, but they are not licensed sellers. I also told you how to contact support in my last post. In the screenshot you posted there's a button that takes you to submitting a request. All companies want to reduce how easy it is to create a ticket as most issues can be resolved without one, but it is certainly not hidden.

Your only way is through the support website. Frontier support seldom replies here, unless it is an issue affecting a large group of players.

And once more, Ettanim ... It is useless to send me a long screencap in English as English is not my birth language ... So, sorry, I cannot read all of that. Thank you for your understanding.

After clicking on the button "Submit a request" I reached a page where there are empty fields (some are optional and some are not). I wrote a long message, and ... when I sent it, it couldn't be sent because I missed a field requiring "Connection Error Code" ... But I never got any Error Code. So, my message couldn't have been sent.

A beautiful story, isn't it ? It confirms what I say again and again about the fact it is very hard to join anybody in technical supports to get some help.

Isn't there anywhere a smiley with a psychiatric camisole here to express how I feel ?

BUT, I have a solution ... J'écris en français et vous faites la traduction vous-même sur les traducteurs automatiques. Qu'en pensez-vous ? Comme ça, je ne m'emmêlerais pas les pincdeaux, je ne ferais pas d'erreur de syntaxe, ce sera plus sûr, plus rapide, et vous pourrez savoir ce que j'essaie de dire exactement ... Je trouve l'idée pas mal, et vous ? ;)
