Why dont they show more? Modern media, PR and expectation management strategies I imagine?
Not that I agree with it, I would love a more informal get-the-devs-talking-infront-of-the-camera approach as we have seen a few times already, but thats modern game dev business practices for you!
They appear to be following the same track that they followed since post Horizons
i.e. reveal very little as the Community Managers are so far removed from the coding that they can't talk with authority on any of the features, and the coders or project managers cant speak with with any authority as they only know about their little bit of code.
It only comes together at the end when the executive producers (for example Adam Woods), support the final reveal.
too much information, too early, and the rampant speculation of the community takes the team into areas that they either can't or dont want to talk about. Arthur has said as much.
I expect
Big / final Community Management reveal - end of March
Alpha - April (over the Easter period + a bit)
Release to PC - May
couple of weeks to wait yet.
