Why doesn't FD show more stuff of Odessey?

Funny story .... When I met Michael Brooks at the first Lavecon, I mentioned those of us on this forum before the kickstarter wanting Elite IV, and he ... quite seriously .... stated "Elite IV never existed" and he was right.
An idea ? :)

You remember this time on the Frontier forum before the Kickstarter (if my memory is good, it seems to me that you were actively participating in this thread).

I would love to read this thread again which was very exciting. (y)

On this subject I take your experience to ask you if you have the answer to this thread ? :)

Yeah - the AMA and Q&A are both 'let me tell you again the stuff you would already know if you paid attention to the dev diaries".

But the OP pretending they've said nothing. Almost as funny as the explorers complaining 'nothing about exploration' if fdev try and talk about combat for more than 2 minutes :ROFLMAO:
As far as I know, I only saw combat on feet in the trailers and in the dev commands. Not that I'm complaining

If you look at some trailers, they give away 90% of the movie and their highlights.

I really hope Odyssey will be that groundbreaking thing FD is saying it is, the cynic in me however tells me not to hold my breath.
Well, here is to hoping the cynic is wrong.

Although I hope I'm wrong I agree with you and other people who say this is all there is to show.
The only new thing (I understand) is leaving your ship. So you can walk on some planets and walk in some settlements and spacestations.
They showed it. What else want you to see?
Maybe they changed the way you do business. No longer clicking on a spreadsheet, but talking with people or at a terminal where you have to walk to.
That would be nice, but that is personal taste.
Walking in ships and walking on earthlike planets including some complete new missions on the planet will change this game and show something completely new.

For now it's just walking instead of driving your SRV. But I'm happy with this progress, and I love some atmospheric changes at planets. It is hopefully the next step to be followed by much more.
