Why doesn't FD show more stuff of Odessey?

Personally i'm glad to not see too much, and i will wait to play Odessy until its released, i like it to be fresh and too much reviel is like a spoiler for me

Just to be fully accurate, they didn't actually say this. If you read what they've said, they didn't outright promise that minimum specs wouldn't change. They haven't actually used the word "minimum specs" in any of their answers to this question, not that I've seen anyway.

The guy with the gtx 760 is probably fine (plenty above minimum anyway). Just... I think it's important to not directly state stuff like this, given it wasn't actually said (if it was said and a link is provided then I'll delete this).

The wording fdev used was similar to "we're hopeful we can optimise it so you'll still be able play on your current machine". That's a big paraphrase so not a quote. We can assume that if they're successful then minimum specs won't change. But they've not outright said this will definitely happen. Based on what they've said, and considering there are still months left until release, it's entirely possible minimum specs could change.

But considering that's the gtx 470, I don't think it'd be a major issue if they did.

FD wants you to pay for the product as soon as possible, but won't tell you what's in it . . . certainly means it will blow away your expectations!

But seriously, I don’t think the game is feature complete or they really are reworking systems, graphics, or gameplay elements that they thought would work on old hardware.

Funny story .... When I met Michael Brooks at the first Lavecon, I mentioned those of us on this forum before the kickstarter wanting Elite IV, and he ... quite seriously .... stated "Elite IV never existed" and he was right.
