Unfortunately, I have been feeling the first signs of explorer blues. Which probably means that in a couple of weeks the cba to login feeling sets in. And apart from surface textures and prettier roid rings, 2.1 doesn't seem to have the appeal to keep me interested in finding new stuff.

I too am feeling the first sign of explorer blues. I wasn't a seasoned explorer in the first place when I took off after all of you (lovable) DW idiots, so it was just a very impulsive act of my own brand of idiocy that found me wandering alone and confused on the far side of the fried egg. Now I'm feeling like I'm ready to come in out of the cold for a while.

I have decided to support this initiative.
I will support this initiative by sitting on my exploration data collected during past five months (a much smaller bundle of data than one would imagine) and hopefully remember to log into Elite weekly during July (that's when the CGs for this are, right?) and hoping one of the CGs will be an exploration data one.
Other than that, I am sorry but I will be completely addicted to Hearts of Iron IV and I see little chance of me grinding some silly Elite missions for a CG, no matter how noble one.

As a side note, if you fellows manage to convince DWE players to hold off the sales of their exploration data for a few months in support of SEPP, SEPP should easily get maximum points out of a possible exploration CG
Of course it's possible there will be no exploration CG in the games. (It could be likely even; arguably some party could gain an unfair advantage by anticipating one and collecting massive amounts of exploration data beforehand... not unlike the timing of DWE return and Hunger Games start)

I just sold all of my DWE data this weekend, I just couldn’t stomach sitting on all of that work just for the off chance we do get an exploration CG to help out SEPP. If we do get an exploration CG then I’ll just jonk my tail off to help out as much as I can. But at least now I can help with other CG’s too for SEPP and not risk losing all of my DWE data, because that would stress me out way too much!

That is a fine idea - the simple fact is: explorers have more stamina to long jonking runs than the bubble crowd. We can gather large amounts of data in a short time and not be fussed, plus we know where to go to get to new systems quickly.
I'm going to rename non-explorers to bubble-babies from now on.
