What's with the negativity? :( Who said anything about spamming? I see where you're coming from with the PP hate, but an "exploration power" could really spice up the game or us explorers...right?
Don't know about others, but when I'm out there in the dark, I rarely visit the general discussion part of the forums, but I'm hanging around the exploration forums non-stop, as I imagine a lot of explorers do. If you want to grab their attention, this is the place to do it.

I just want to make sure that people who don't take part in the event do so because they choose to, not because they don't know it's happening.

PP isn't going to change in any fundamental way. And if it does then that just means that a lot of developer effort will have once again been spent on something that is only, at best, tangentially related to exploration. The intentions are good but I consider them misguided.

As for the negativity, I did put my role in DWE as "Fleet curmudgeon". I've got a reputation to keep up :)

PP died for me in Beta, it is terrible and as bad as cqc (look at their tumbleweed forums), but am happy to support it.

I've been thinking about this from a game play and role-play perspective. As in: where do I see myself / my avatar in this game?

I'm in Elite for the 'lone pilot doing his thing' aspect, so actively pledging to a power is not necessarily where I want to be.... however; supporting someone who helps me is. So I'm going to help out SEPP and maybe make one of their systems my 'home' system, but Fuelum is kind of my default at the moment, so that may not change.

It's in danger of awakening something...ganked and killed by a player for no reason whatsoever on my third run. Took a lot to come in from the black and now players putting the boot in as well as the NPC?

Naming and shaming is, afaik, not allowed on these forums. Putting that on the side, it's really not cool to kind of suggest it was someone specific when you're clearly not sure and didn't take the name down. It's extremely easy to accuse someone of something and a lot harder to completely clear one's name of any doubt, even in presence of overwhelming evidence for that person's innocence. So "his name was **** something, but I'm not really sure" is just not something you should ever post.

My 5 cents.

Verminstar, just do the runs in solo mode or private mode like Mobius group. If you fly them in open you stand a huge chance of being attacked by Galcop guys and other player killers who are trying to stop everyone else. Open is not the right choice to run these commander!

Definitely wasn't me, as I said in other thread - my ingame name is completely different than the one on forums. I admit I wasn't always playing a nice person in ED, but all I've been doing after my return from Formidine rift was to run long range bulk haul missions from Sothis in an unarmed Asp :)

Already sorted m8 no bother...I wasn't 100% sure of the name only that it began with a "v" and looks very much like yer name. Perhaps jumped to the wrong conclusion...my bad, apologies for that...I was peed off at the time. Will say however that while it may not be spelt exactly the way yours is, it is very bloody similar. Me own fault fer not taking a better note of the name from the rebuy screen ^^

just a friendly reminder - we don't accept any naming (& shaming) on these forums, even not with explorer-killers (have been on the receiving end, so I think i know how awfull that feels). even if in this case it helped to clear up the fact, that it wasn't @varraq. it is a good exampel why one shouldn't name, too.

now - back to exploration and/or shipping rares!
