Why weapons doesn't have a STUN option??

After this "update 6" we risk to get Notoriety even if you kill a NPC in stealth mode, no other NPCs around, in an ANARCHY system! Lots of missions give us no option but kill lots of NPCs.

Odyssey endless annoying grinding push us to be criminals, and loot lots of settlements to find almost impossible stuff like Opinion Polls or Patrol Routes.

For some reason I gave up to understand, we can't trade data. We can't trade some useless goods. And we spent weeks grinding.

Considering this scenario, why in the heck Frontier didn't create a STUN option for some weapons, whether as upgrade or engineering???

Frontier created a criminal grind system, and somehow want us not to be criminals when grinding. Well, I don't like this stuff too! I don't want to be assassin, I like the EXPLORATION and MISSIONS in Elite Dangerous.

So, give us the STUN OPTION! At least the possibility to engineer one, somehow! This way we can grind and avoid killing spree in a non-lethal mode.

The specific bit is that it won't let you attack defenceless targets at PEGI 16 (which Odyssey is) but will at PEGI 18. So stunned bodies would be fine if you couldn't further damage them.

(Its definition of "defenceless" appears to be exceptionally literal - launching dumbfires at civilian workers is absolutely fine, for example, because in theory you might miss the first shot and their G1 sidearm might do a fraction of a percent of shield damage back before you fire again)

It's also got a massive loophole for "sanitisation of atrocities" - which is why Elite Dangerous: Horizons gets to depict a horrendously dystopian universe containing war crimes, genocide, slavery, political executions, glorification of mass murderers, etc ... at PEGI-7. All the violence is either cartoonified or hidden behind doors you can't go through.

I seem to remember being able to purchase "non-lethal" legally and deliver them to places that were in "civil war" status.
Never did actually SEE them but I know they exist because it's a think you can buy and sell.
So, why can't WE get them? Everyone ELSE could.

I would like to see the Captain Kirk double fisted attack. You can take down a Gorn with that move.

Because for PEGI reasons Odyssey is designed to make us a bunch of murderers

So shooting people in the back with my rifle is OK then 😂

As people have mentioned its the PEGI rating.
I constantly have ideas on where this game should go, but I realised after reading a thead last week that none of them would survive the PEGI rating.
I dont bother anymore.

The first Odyssey "clear out a settlement" mission I undertook ended up feeling like something out of a B-grade horror movie, with me starring as the faceless killer. After taking out all the armed guards, I completed the mission by tracking down the remaining barely-armed civilian staff one by one, using the settlement's own staff-tracking system to locate them. The last one was cowering in the hab module, no doubt desperately scribbling out a final note to his wife as he heard my heavy footsteps approaching down the corridor.
I've never taken one of those missions again.
How could this possibly get a PEGI rating under 18?
