Will PS4 get the Cobra Mk IV?

I'm aware that this isn't going to be a popular opinion, but I suspect that the Mk IV will just be the start of a wave of micro-transactions that go beyond paint. Ships, modules, etc.

They might not.
But more importantly, I hope their investors don't think it's a good idea.

Either way I wouldn't be paying for any rng 'loot canisters' either (either pay to win stuff, or even if just cosmetics).

Begs the question why they have not already done so, if that's the case. There is always money in microtransactions. I am still hopeful they are sensible in this respect, cashflow seems good at the moment and their accounts looked good. If it changes...

Still if they charge PS4 owners for Cobra IV when others got it free... oooh I can see the storm now....

Unfortunately I don't have any news to give you on this at the minute, but we haven't forgotten about the Mk IV for PS4 players!

Oh, and to make efficient use to time, while you're busy implementing this, any chance we can get a Wireframe paint job for the Cobra MKIV pretty please? :S

Only makes sense to do both at once right Just needs to be based on the MIII wireframe, but obviously not the MKIII wireframe which was an exclusive paint job.

Frontier,
A (potentially) obvious answer to it would be to include it as part of a Rank lock structure, akin to the Empire or Fed grind for the Cutter or Corvette.

Fed has the Drop ship, Assault ship, GunShip and Corvette
Empire has the Courier, Clipper and Cutter

I can see a justifiable way of introducing it into the game as by making part of an Independent Rank grind.
There are a number of new ships announced for 2018 (Krait, Defender, Chieftain).

Why not: - Krait, Cobra Mk4, Defender, Chieftain

This way everyone can claim a win.
- People who have bought early Horizons will have it automatically unlocked
- Everyone else will need to grind for it.

There will be some as yet undisclosed "premium" content next year, alongside the Beyond updates.

Frontier have given no indication what that content could be anything, as Frontier haven't hinted at what it will be.

People say a lot of things, but they change. Don't think for a moment that Frontier is immune to dramatic changes in business.

Honestly? I'm genuinely expecting some kind of paid fast track through the engineers next year. The RNG stinks of potential for money making. I said this before engineers came out, and I still sincerely believe it's on the cards.

Sadly when the Black Friday skins were available there was no Cobra MK4 job on PS4. You could buy it on PC, even if you were not eligible for the MK4, but on PS4 there was no option at all.
So if they do have a chrome MK4 paint job, I hope we can throw money at it no matter what.

Anyway I highly doubt it will get released on PS4, it was a timed 'exclusive' kinda deal.

I'm not asking about special deals I'm simply asking why in hells name is the game not 'FULL' for users of anything other than the PC? why would a ship be locked when the guy spent out (presumably the same money) on the same game as me?
especially as PC users are not catered for as well as they might be... with regards to using the mouse to click-scroll on menus, which is presumably because it's not available to console users who have to scroll through menu's!

It seems a little unfair that one or more ships is not available for them to try and enjoy.

I'd assume and would concur that the "DAVID" plays on a PC not a console is the answer. We've been told since the start that it's his game and we are simply using it by paying a one time subsicription payment. Though one may own the disk in there library and or the digital version. Which basically only installs the game; The DAVID owns the game. And since it's his ball, he can choose to make or change the rules anytime he desires.

The last update was the results of doing a beta test on PC, once it was accepted, it became an upgrade for consoles. IF one thinks about it, the last update for consoles play's out exactly like a beta version. The only difference is, unlike consoles, FDev has already accepted the PC communities issue's, fixed them. Console would seem to only be a cash cow, somthing to exploit which offsets their bottom line and slightly improves their cash flow.

Same thing has happened to NMS, any and all new upgrades make playing on a console considerably less desireable. But actually improve it for PC versions. Google searching NMS and one will only find a few old post regarding play on a console. But gazillions of posts in regards to playing on a PC. WHY, because Shawn plays on a PC not a console.

the ship is not available to all PC owners either I brought Horizons to late and missed the deal so no MK4 for me and it's the same for any platform who brought Horizons after 5th Feb 2016 not just PS 4 players, doesn't bother me I can't have it
