So I popped back on to see how the changes are being received, unfortunately as expected no reason for me to log into game.
I am posting in this thread because I see Fdev still have not grasped the nettle and rebalanced the game as it stands now, rather than the balance that has resulted due to the hodge podge nature in which the game has progressed.
Specifically for ships there is no clear structure, such as small ships being fast and agile but lacking firepower or armour and large ships being slower and less maneouverable but with greater firepower and armour. This is why the Anaconda has its privileged spot as it was one of the original ships and it was balanced against ships such as the sidewinder and Cobra MkIII, it had to be better them because it was more expensive and was the only form of progression at the time.
I would like to see a full l roster of ships like we had in past games with multiple ships fulfilling the roles at all levels, I do not like the new ships being pre-nerfed because we cannot have something better than already in game but from a much earlier time of development.
FDev really need to run balancing passes on everything after any major update to the game. As part of this as I have said many times before they need to look at the game and implement an internal logic to how the universe runs. The T10 would never have been designed in the way it has following any logic given its supposed role. If you were going to combat thargoids with missiles being a major part of the arsenal, a ship maker would have retooled an Anaconda or Federal Corvette with new missile launchers that can hold a serious amount of missiles and reload from bigger ammunition storage, also the hull would be designed ot be toxic resistant.
