WERDGUIA QI-B D13-46What system is it?
The remaining question is "Do the turrets on the wing man that was not attacked kick in and start shooting.".Anytime
you sure? Doesn't match anything.WERDGUIA QI-B D13-46
Read the starting post. I am my own wing.Best mining ship is a Python really.
2 med hardpoints to fit the SCL and AB.
3 Lrg hardpoints to fit gimbaled beam lasers and a frag cannon. Slices smaller ships to bits in seconds and holds off anything up to an FDL.
A-rate everything and add a mil bulkhead and you'll be able to at least survive 95% of NPC human encounters.
From there... Maybe you can wing up with a hauler who will do the heavy lifting while you do half and half on the core mining and escort duties.

Glad you're enjoying your adventure.Ok!!!!! Final found some core. I was in a Void Opel Hotspot and ended up with Grandierite. Managed to get 6 tons.
I did not find a rock that looked like "popcorn". The rock I found was VERY bright and had surface deposits on it as well but it was brighter than a rock with only surface deposits. No actual visible fissures. I will try to clean the video up and post it. I have about 40 minutes with me muttering to myself.
Still watching the replay, but, I think the reason some SC's explode on contact is because the Fissure is High Strength and I didn't hold the SC trigger long enough to give it enough boost to get into the fissure.
Another possibility is that I wasn't looking straight at the fissure and hit the edge going in.
The good news was that about half the time the early detonation still freed a resource chunk I could pick up and refine.
Never was able to get more than one charge placed at a time.
I did eventually crack the rock but since I wasn't expecting the shot to do it, I was close enough that both ships took a bit of damage.
I was able to use the SDM to break things out of the fissures but I had to drill WAY down to do it. Kind'a thinking this might be a safer way to get the stuff out . Just might take longer but I don't think I would have to worry about nearly blowing myself up.
Definitely going to put an Abrasion Blaster on the Collector/Refinery ship. Just gets too crowded to have both ships in close enough for the AB and the Collector Limpets being on different ships. Might be ok if I had a friend sitting in the other chair but trying do do both ships myself breaking the stuff off the chunks is not feasible.
If this was true, then every Seismic Charge would explode on contact but they don't.Glad you're enjoying your adventure.
Exploding on contact is a bug that happens with wing or multicrew mining (multicrew is human only). It has nothing to do with fissure strength. You can bounce them off the asteroid and they will still float around flashing red for some time before they explode.
I have two accounts and fly two ships on identical computers sitting side by side. Just finished my second 2000 LY round trip exploration run and both ships/commanders get credit for everything we find.
When I found out I could do it, I started probing rings and I have several systems out in the void marked where there are 7 or more of the high value minerals in hotspots.
Considering getting into mining again.
Played with it a bit when I first started playing and only had one ship and commander and I was inside the bubble. Got real frustrated with NPC's showing up and attacking me so I quit.
Do NPC's show up and harass/attack when mining in the void.
If one ship is attacked, do all ships in the wing immediately automatically see the NPC as hostile?
If one ship in a wing does a KWS on an NPC, do both ship get the info and the additional bounties?
Ive seen this bug and never wingir multicrew mine. My kids have seen it too. Only after the April update and I’ve mined more than a billion credits of cores .If this was true, then every Seismic Charge would explode on contact but they don't. I did manage to embed at least one and it did time out properly. I will endeavor to provide video.
Ok, The only thing I see that could be called a "yield graph" is in the lower left corner and is associated with the SDM, I interpret it to be showing the depth and the density of the strata and optimum point to allow explosion.Glad you're enjoying your adventure.
) or not hitting the optimal yield band in the graph to your upper right.
I have never seen that graph so I would say I have never managed to embed a seismic charge.
See on the upper right where it says "detonation yield"?
That's the graph you should be seeing after you place the first seismic charge.
Try breaking contact with your wing then begin the process of embedding the charges. See if that changes. While I was winged, same happened to me. No indicator because no charges were embedded. When they embed you get a countdown of plenty time to get away and you can detonate at any time until then by selecting the charge on the contacts panel and selecting "detonate now". It starts a 10 second timer, even that is plenty time to get away most of the time. I had the same experience while using multicrew with a forum member as well.I have never seen that graph so I would say I have never managed to embed a seismic charge.
Going to try a cargo transfer and move 3 of the Grandeterite from the Collector to the Miner so both will get equal payout and then watch to see if there is also some "sharing" "bonus" payout as well.
